BATTLE OF THE SUBJECTS! Join us at The Grapes for an evening of quizzing. Member prices (£4 Students) are for History, GEMs and English society members. All are welcome, those who are not members can get tickets for £6 (General). Please make sure you follow the link in our bio to buy your tickets before the event. Prizes including vouchers at local restaurants and bar tabs are up for grabs so don’t miss out! Get your quizzing heads on to battle it out as we settle what the best subject is. Bring your friends for teams of no more than 6. If you are having trouble getting a well rounded team together, don’t worry, send us a DM and we can help! It’s that time again when we look back at just some of the amazing events we had last term! 🥂

Starting with our first event of the term, our ✨Annual Intersociety New Years Ball✨ This was an amazing start to the term! It was especially great to finally be able to bring the ball back as it is always one of the best highlights of each year!🥰 Thank you again to all those that came and helped us to raise over £500 for ! 💜

The 2022 SU awards are currently opened so if you attended the event and had amazing time we would appreciate if you nominate the History Society for best society of the year or nominate this event for best event of the year 🤝

Here are two Humanities for All organised ‘Insight into positive employers’ events! These events choose employers with positive action schemes across a range of career sectors to bring you information that will enrich your knowledge of careers as well as the application and recruitment process. You can sign up on Handshake and if you have any issues we will be sharing the Teams Link round.

Our Tuesday 22nd March event is on ‘Informing Careers’ and with companies like KPMG and more bringing you first-hand sector specific information on application tips and recruitment advice. Each company has its own 30-minute slot so check out Handshake to sign up for your favourites! KPMG’s session will be 11:30-12.

Our Thursday 24th March event is on ‘Interactive Recruitment’ where companies like PwC, British Airways and others will provide information on how best to work your way through the application process as well as positive action recruitment schemes that they may offer. PwC’s session is 10:30-11:30 and British Airway’s session is 11:45-12:45. Each company has its own hour long slot so check out Handshake to sign up for your favourites!
