BF Adventure We support children and young people facing life's toughest challenges. Our activity centre is also open to families, businesses and groups.

Activities range from quarrysteering, to kayaking, canoeing, archery, climbing, ziplining, den-building and more. BF Adventure is an outdoor activity centre and a charity based near Penryn in Cornwall. We offer a wide range of exciting adventure sports, corporate team building days, private parties, school programmes and our very popular holiday activity days for children aged 7+ years. All proceeds from these programmes go to support our charity work with disadvantaged young people and children. Using the medium of outdoor activities we run tailor-made programmes to help our young clients to gain more confidence, address behaviour issues and make positive decision for their future including re-engangement in mainstream education, further training or employment.

Looking for a family activity that's packed with excitement? Visit Via Ferrata Cornwall this half term!

Our Zip Safari takes you flying across our stunning quarry on a series of zip wires, starting with a practice zone before building up to larger quarry-crossing flights. You'll even traverse along the cliff edge between zip wires for an extra dose of adventure. The experience includes six practice zip wires and three larger quarry zip wires.

At BF Adventure, we're committed to reducing our environmental impact while creating life-changing opportunities for children, young people and families across Cornwall. Sustainability isn't just a goal for us, it's part of how we operate every day.

One of the ways we're doing this is through our on-site 10kW wind turbine, which, alongside our solar panels, helps generate renewable energy for our 60-acre site. By producing our own clean energy, we're reducing our reliance on traditional power sources and taking positive steps towards our ambition of becoming carbon neutral.

Every unit of energy we generate helps us lower operating costs, meaning more of our resources can be directed where they're needed most: supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people through outdoor learning, wellbeing programmes and adventure-based experiences.
We're proud to be investing in a greener future, not only for our environment, but for the communities we serve.

Are you practical, resourceful and passionate about keeping things running smoothly? Consider joining our team!

We’re currently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join BF Adventure. Based at our 60-acre outdoor activity site, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our grounds, buildings, vehicles and activity facilities safe, well-maintained and ready for adventure.

We’re looking for someone reliable, motivated and hands-on, with maintenance experience, practical DIY skills and a passion for working with people.

At BF Adventure, we inspire, challenge and motivate people, especially young people, to develop life skills and bring about positive change. This is your chance to use your skills to make a real difference!

🌿 Head Out: Building Confidence, Resilience & Connections for Young People 🌿

Do you care for or work with a young person who is experiencing difficulties with their mental health?

Head Out is a 5-week group activity programme designed to support young people through a unique combination of outdoor activities and interactive workshops. The programme focuses on:

✅ Building resilience
✅ Developing social skills
✅ Increasing confidence
✅ Encouraging positive wellbeing
✅ Making meaningful connections with others

📅 Our next group starts on 17th September and runs for 5 consecutive weeks. We currently have limited availability and are welcoming referrals.

We accept referrals from:
• Parents and carers
• Schools and education professionals
• Social workers
• Youth workers
• And many more professionals supporting young people

Nature has an incredible way of helping us reconnect, reflect, and grow. Through our programmes, young people are supported to improve their wellbeing, develop coping strategies, and build resilience in a safe and positive environment.

Connecting with nature and taking notice of the beauty all around us allows the mind to slow down and recover. Whether it's spotting wildlife, exploring our outdoor spaces, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the world around us, these experiences can have a powerful impact on wellbeing.
