☕ Tomorrow is our very first Coffee Morning! 💚

Tomorrow we’re at Devonmade for our first coffee morning, and we’re really looking forward to bringing people together.

We know that life after losing a baby or child can feel incredibly isolating, and sometimes just having a cuppa, a chat and being around people who understand can make a difference.

There are no expectations, no pressure to talk and no need to explain yourself. Just a warm welcome, a cuppa and a space where everyone is welcome.

Whether you fancy a chat, a listening ear or simply getting out of the house for a little while, we’d love to see you.

A huge thank you to Devon Made for welcoming us and helping make our first morning possible.

🔑 A HUGE MILESTONE FOR MARCHING ON WITH HENDRIX!

Today we got the keys to our very own charity office! 🥹

When we first started Marching on with Hendrix, we never imagined we’d reach this point. What started from the heartbreak of losing Hendrix has grown into something that continues to reach and support families navigating the unimaginable.

Having our own office is another really special step forward. It gives us a dedicated space to work from, organise the charity, plan what’s next and continue developing the support we can offer to bereaved families.

There’s plenty of work ahead, lots of organising to do and no doubt a fair bit of making it our own! 😂

But today we’re taking a moment to appreciate just how far we’ve come.

Every step forward is another step towards helping more families, keeping Hendrix’s name alive and making sure no family feels forgotten.

Hendrix, we’re building something pretty special in your name. 🩵🌈

Here’s to the next chapter.

To every individual who donates, every person who organises a fundraiser, every volunteer who gives their time and every business that chooses to support us, thank you.

We are incredibly grateful to the local businesses and organisations who sponsor our events, donate prizes, provide services, support our fundraising and help us spread the word.

Your support genuinely makes a difference.

Every penny raised helps us provide funded counselling and EMDR, keepsakes, funeral support and financial assistance to families following the loss of a baby or child.

We’re a small charity, but we’re lucky to have such a wonderful community behind us.

We know that supporting a charity isn’t something businesses or individuals have to do. It’s a choice, and one we never take for granted.

🎃 Halloween can bring so many different feelings.

For some, it’s an evening of dressing up, trick or treating, games and family fun.

For others, it’s another reminder of the little person who should be here making those memories.

However you’re spending today, we hope there are moments of comfort, smiles and love.

And to those finding today difficult, we’re thinking of you and your precious children.

Grief can be incredibly difficult to navigate and you don’t have to do it alone. ❤️

We believe that every bereaved family deserves access to emotional support.

We provide funded counselling and EMDR therapy for parents, grandparents and siblings following the loss of a baby or child (24 weeks gestation to 18 years)

Our support includes:

🌿 Up to 6 counselling sessions for parents and grandparents.

🌿 Up to 10 counselling sessions for siblings.

🌿 Virtual and face to face - helping families access specialist support remotely.

We understand that everyone grieves differently. Some people need someone to talk to, others may find it difficult to put their feelings into words, and some may not feel ready to seek support straight away.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no expectation that you should simply learn to live with the pain on your own.

Founded in memory of our son Hendrix, we want to make sure families have access to support when they need it most.

At Marching on with Hendrix, we know how important it is to have a space where you can talk, share, listen or simply sit with people who understand.

There’s no pressure, no expectations and absolutely no need to find the right words. Just a cuppa, a friendly face and a little time together. 🤍

🎃With Halloween just around the corner, we know this time of year can bring another reminder of the little moments our children should have been here for.

The costumes, the pumpkin picking, the excitement at the door and the memories we imagined making with them.

If Halloween feels different for you this year, you’re not alone. It’s okay to join in, to sit it out, or to do something in your child’s memory.

You don’t need the perfect words. Just listen, be kind, say their child’s name and remember that their child matters.🤍
