We're thinking about doing a fundraising raffle for a big prize like a Switch 2 or something similar. The only issue is that we would need to sell 200-300+ tickets to make it worthwhile as we'd be buying it ourselves rather than raffling a donated prize.

Would like to hear everyone's thoughts!

I don't usually post much about our actual rescues on Facebook but I do on tiktok so this is a repost from there!

Now we're monetized on Facebook it's worth sharing some of this content here too.

We took in this gorgeous Hermann's tortoise recently after a carer alerted us to a client struggling to care for her. Unfortunately, this is a really common occurrence and people can easily become overwhelmed.

If you're a carer or look after a vulnerable/disabled person, please pay attention to the condition of their animals if you can! Not only is it better for the welfare of the pet, but the condition of their enclosures can also potentially reveal a lot about the physical and mental well-being of the person, too.

The English Riviera Airshow starts tomorrow!

Please be aware that the event site will look a little different due to ongoing sea defence works along Paignton and Preston seafront. All activities will be based on North Green and Middle Green (South Green won’t be in use).

With a more compact layout, some areas may be busier at peak times. To help keep everyone comfortable, organisers have introduced a range of measures to manage the flow of visitors.

A colour-coded zoning system will be in place, with different areas clearly marked by flags and signage. Throughout the day, updates will be shared on the big screen, via announcements on the PA system and across event social media channels, highlighting busier areas and encouraging visitors to explore quieter zones. Please listen and look out for updates.

We can’t wait to welcome you – it’s set to be a fantastic Airshow with plenty to see and enjoy!

We really need to do some fundraising again!

Thankfully since the closure of another local pet shop our takings have increased, but we had fallen behind on multiple bills in the meantime and really need to get these paid down.

I'm thinking about doing a raffle if anyone could tag some local businesses who may be willing to donate a prize!

We're also looking for someone who'd be able to do a tip run for us, but I know this is a big ask!

Things are trending upwards overall, we just need a final push to get us over the hump and into a better position. Good news overall!! 🐍🦎🐹
