Oxford Lindy Hoppers

Oxford Lindy Hoppers Swingin' all over Oxford. Come join us for band nights, social dances and weekly lessons! We offer regular fun and friendly classes in Oxford.

We teach Lindy Hop and Blues, and also offer frequent Collegiate S**g courses. We will also run occasional classes and events in other Swing Era dances like Charleston, Boogie Woogie and Balboa. Our class nights are suitable for absolute beginners (yes, even you!) We assume absolutely no dance experience, and build things up gradually so you can get out on the dance floor after your first lesson. The weather is frightening, the thunder and lightning …. but the silver lining for this cloud is it will be lovely and cool at the weekend for S**g Sundae 🙂. Just one week to go until S**g Sundae Special Edition – Varsity S**g Shenanigans! and the weaher is lookin merciful :). We still have a few spots left for both levels (beginners and experienced) and plenty of space for the social. All swing dancers (lindy, balboa, charleston...) are most welcome. Summer is on the way at last 🌷 ☀️ and we've got just the way to help you shimmy it in in style! Join us for June's Hop the Hall on Friday the 5th (just a week away 🤩) for a great night with even better company

⏰: First Friday of every month. Doors open at 7:50 p.m. Music from 8 p.m. to 11.30 p.m.
📍: St Margaret’s Institute, 30 Polstead Road, Oxford OX2 6TN. There is some street parking.
