Seasonal Equine & Facilities Assistant
Omagh Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) is looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking person to join our team on a part-time, seasonal, self-employed basis.
This is a varied, hands-on role supporting the day-to-day care of our horses and ponies and helping to keep our facilities, yard and grounds safe and well maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
🐴 Mucking out, preparing feeds and general horse/yard duties
🚜 Driving a tractor and safely operating farm and yard machinery
🔨 General maintenance and repairs, including fencing and gates
🧹 Cleaning stables, toilets and shared facilities
🌿 Maintaining the yard, buildings and grounds
👀 Spotting jobs that need done and taking the initiative to tackle them
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is confident and experienced around horses
• Has experience driving a tractor and operating farm/yard machinery and holds a valid tractor licence
• Has good practical and general maintenance skills
• Is reliable, hardworking and able to work independently
• Is willing to undertake the appropriate AccessNI check
📍 Location: Omagh RDA
⏰ Hours: Part-time – 16 hours per week
💼 Basis: Self-employed
💷 Rate: £15 hr
At Omagh RDA, this role plays an important part in keeping everything behind the scenes running smoothly so we can continue providing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities through horses and riding.
