Tursallagh Community Association Tursallagh, Sixmilecross/Carrickmore. Public AED in Tursallagh Phonebox to serve entire community

21/06/2025

Ok we got defibs in the phonebox, one at NC tractor spares and McCann Concrete....
The next one is Hearts and Diamonds. Thanks to Crockagarron Windfarm and all us at Tursallagh Community Association. There will be a new fully functioning defib available to the public in the near future. Follow the page for opening details and dates.

Quick update... still waiting on bracket galvanised for glusha but McCanns is almost ready to go. Because it is Crockagarron Windmill Fund, there is no publicity requirements other than recognition of funding, so we can open in near future, while still having it opened for as many to be aware of its existence as possible.
NC Tractor Spares one I personally think I will install and set up for public benefit and still wait for Nathan to cut ribbon officially for National Lottery Grant purposes.
Again, thanks to everyone involved for your continued support. ๐Ÿ™

I would like to personally thank every single person involved in the phonebox defib project. 6 months of 2023 from 3rd july first meeting to the opening was longer than any of us expected but it is definitely a project worth doing and hopefully will have ongoing benefits. Francie and Nuala and their daily contact with Irene and other residents created it. I am not a Tursallagh resident (Gleneeny but Altinagh forever) but will always be proud to walk dogs daily on lane that ends in centre of Tursallagh 2023 will hopefully be remembered as a year that the townland was put on the map and some memories you can all look back on fondly. Heres to 2024 and good luck to all!

Massive thank you to all the local tursallagh residents that came to McCanns Strand Brae in Sixmilecross on saturday night!! We almost doubled the amount raised and had a great night of songs and anecdotes etc. Hopefully any of you that werent able to make it can still click the link and donate what yous can. It is not only going towards the new defibrillator at the bottom of the Tursallagh Road (NC Tractor Spares) but anything on top of this will go towards replacement pads/batteries for our exisiting AED. Thank you again to everyone so far! ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŽ‰
