Happy Feast of the Sacred Heart ❤️ 🙏

The image of God's love is revealed in the pierced heart of His Son. It is the symbol of a love that conquers sin and transcends death, the symbol of the One who loved us to the end.

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in Thee ❤️

Prayer:

O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee,
Whatever may befall me, Lord, though dark the hour may be;
In all my woes, in all my joys, though nought but grief I see,
O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place my trust in Thee.

When those I loved have passed away, and I am sore distressed,
0 Sacred Heart of Jesus, I fly to Thee for rest.
In all my trials, great or small, my confidence shall be
Unshaken as I cry, dear Lord, I place my trust in Thee.

This is my one sweet prayer, dear Lord, my faith, my trust, my love,
But most of all in that last hour, when death points up above,
O sweet Saviour, may Thy face smile on my soul all free.
Oh may I cry with rapturous love, I've placed my trust in Thee.

My thoughts and prayers are firstly with Stephen Ogilvie, who sustained life-changing devastating injuries in a brutal and horrific attack on Monday evening. I also pray for his family and pay tribute to their appeal for calm as they support Stephen. The quick response of the local community and the...

O Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let us sow love.
Where there is injury, forgiveness.
Where there is violence, healing.
Where there is despair, hope.

Lord, make us instruments of Your peace.

In the face of fear and unrest in Belfast, let us choose compassion over hatred, understanding over division, and prayer over anger.

We pray today for every family affected by violence, tension, and fear. May our streets be filled not with hatred, but with hope. May leaders seek wisdom, neighbours seek reconciliation, and communities find the courage to stand together in peace.

May we never lose our shared humanity. Let us reject violence in all its forms and pray for healing across Belfast and beyond.

Peace begins with each of us.🙏🕊️

Most im sure have seen the madness and horror of the last few days. Up in our parish we are detached from the violence, however it affects all of us. The only thing we can do is pray.

Pray for victims of violence.

For those from many countries who have made ireland their home and now are living in fear today.

This who have lost their homes.

For politicians and community leaders who have any sort of influence to end this madness.

Whether you are somebody who prays or you just wanna show some sort of support to those affected by this evil. All are welcome.

Dear Mothers,

At the All Ireland Rosary Rally in Knock last Saturday Fr Chris Alar encouraged us to pray especially for Ireland and to consider having Masses offered for our country.

The Holy Mass is the most powerful prayer we can offer. Perhaps each of us might arrange a Mass intention for the spiritual renewal of Ireland — for the return of faith, for our families and children, and for all who have drifted away from God.

Our Lady of Knock, pray for Ireland. 🙏🇮🇪
