If you know someone with Dementia make sure they are registered for the Herbert Protocol which helps the PSNI trace missing people with Dementia.

Our members, alongside the PSNI, recently held a Herbert Protocol awareness event at the Armagh City Hotel. We were joined by a range of individuals and organisations from across the community, all committed to supporting those living with dementia.

The Herbert Protocol helps police act quickly when a person with dementia goes missing. It involves filling out a simple form with key information like medical details, daily routines, and places the person may go.

If you live with dementia, or care for someone who does, fill in the form for peace of mind: www.psni.police.uk/herbertprotocol

Please share to help spread the word.

To mark World Cancer Day 2025, Macmillan in Northern Ireland Cancer Support provided funding for Western Trust to develop two new resources to support people with a learning disability using cancer services.

With the help of Lilliput Theatre Company, we have developed a series of short videos and an easy read story book co-produced with adults with a learning disability and their carers. These resources provide information on what service users can expect if attending screening appointments in both Altnagelvin and community, attending North West Cancer Centre and the support services available.

We invite anyone with a learning disability, their family/carers or anyone working or volunteering in Cancer Services or Learning Disability to come to our roadshow.

📆 Tuesday 8th April
🕙 10:30AM - 12:30PM
📍 Omagh Leisure Complex
📞 If you would like to attend, phone 02871611272 or email: [email protected]

These will be relaxed events and we encourage attendees to drop in at any stage during the time slot. More details to follow on Fermanagh and Derry/Londonderry events.
