🌟Appreciation post🌟
The Illidge family are long standing friends of Kayleigh’s family, made up of Annette, Steve, George and James.
They have supported Kayleigh’s Wee Stars since the very start in a number of different ways.
The family sadly lost Steve in November 2024. He is a big miss and not long after, they reached out to say that they wanted to do something that would have a big impact in his memory. Not just a donation, something that would make a difference to the charity.
We have spent the last 13 years juggling vehicles and logistics to get KWS to events and have relied on so many people. We have realised you cannot get a gazebo in a car 🤷🏻♀️
The Illidge family decided to provide a charitable donation to purchase a vehicle that would support the work of the charity. The purpose being that we can attend more events, transport volunteers and by branding the vehicle, we can raise awareness of Kayleigh’s Wee Stars by simply driving it.
This weekend Annette travelled up to see, for the first time, the Kayleigh’s Wee Stars van that is only possible because of their generous gesture in memory of Steve. Although emotional, it was a lovely morning ❤️🌟
