If you are looking to attend please let us know by 17.00 tomorrow (Wednesday 25th March)

We are absolutely overwhelmed by the incredible support from our local community during last year’s Poppy Appeal in aid of Poppyscotland.

Thanks to your generosity, kindness, and unwavering support, we raised an amazing amount that will go directly towards supporting our veterans and their families across Scotland.

We would also like to give a very special thank you to all our wonderful volunteers, as well as the dedicated members of the The Boys’ Brigade and the Air Training Corps. Your time, commitment, and enthusiasm embody the true spirit of remembrance and community.

Together, we have shown what can be achieved when a community comes together for such an important cause. Thank you for helping us honour and support those who have served.

EGM – Members Please Attend

Following our recent AGM, which unfortunately did not achieve sufficient attendance to progress key business, we are now required to hold an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM)

The purpose of this EGM is to discuss the potential sale of the remaining part of our Legion building. This is an important matter for the future of our branch, and we cannot move forward with any further investigations without consultation of members.

Thursday 26 March
7:00pm
The Drouthy Laird

To ensure we have enough members present for the EGM to go ahead, please register your attendance in advance by:

Texting: 07988 783951
Emailing: [email protected]

Your support and attendance really matter.

The commitment and sacrifice of British personnel who served in Afghanistan must never be diminished. The loss of 457 UK service personnel, and the lasting physical and mental impact on thousands more and their families, stands as a powerful reminder of the true cost of that conflict.

The men and women of the British Armed Forces, from the UK, the Commonwealth and beyond have shown unwavering dedication in service of our freedoms and in support of our allies. They deserve enduring respect, recognition and gratitude, and we condemn any comments that undermine their extraordinary contribution.

Support for our Armed Forces remains a core value across our nation, we continue to ensure that their service and sacrifice are acknowledged and honoured, across communities, cultures and faiths.

We remain unwavering in our support for all those who have served, and for the families who continue to live with the impact of that service, through our Veterans Community Support Service and our nationwide Branch network.
