Room 13 'Room 13' is a Youth Centre in Okehampton. We offer a wide range of exciting opportunities for young people as well as targeted support.

Our last trip of the summer is this Wednesday - we are planning to go for a walk near Burrator reservoir to take photographs and have a picnic. We will help participants selct their best shot and have it printed. Room 13 is still open over the summer break and we'd love to see you all - regulars and new members, for the usual fun and games. Our week this week looks like this:

Monday 6-8pm - Juniors/Inters (Years 7,8 & 9) at ROOM13 (sadly NOT Bracken Tor now) - 6pm to 8pm

Tuesday - 4pm to 7pm - Picnic in the Park - all ages between Year 7 and Year 13 (meet at Simmons Park by the car park)

Wednesday daytime - trip to Splashdown - there are only 3 spaces remaining - contact Mike or Ali at: [email protected] ASAP to book your space.

Wedesday evening - Inters/Seniors - campfire and games at Bracken Tor - 6.30pm to 9pm (needs a consent form - request one at: [email protected]

We had been planning to have a campfire up at Bracken Tor this evening with the Juniors - sadly we haven't had sufficient interest so we will instead be opening up Room 13 and we can still put on some of the actvities in the garden. Please do drop-in (Years 7, 8 and 9 - in Sept) and Mike and Ali are looking forward to marshmallow's and hot chocolate! Apologies to anyone who was planning to come up to Bracken Tor - we'll still have have a great time I'm sure - Mike

Some photo's from the Camera Trap the young people set at Meeth Quarry with our Partnership with Devon Wildlife Trust. We were hoping to get a glimpse of a Pine Marten but it's still great to see that we share the space with amazing animals like the Roe Deer, and Tawny Owls you see here. Thanks to Adrian from DWT.

We have been away with a group on our annual summer camp but we are back now - Mondays will be for the Juniors - Years 7...

We have been away with a group on our annual summer camp but we are back now - Mondays will be for the Juniors - Years 7 to 9 (as you go ito those years in Sept) - Wednesdays is for Seniors Year 9 up to age 19. Most of our trips are on Wednesdays apart from Tuesday 4th when we go to Crealy (this trip is full!)
We are also having a drop-in up at Simmons Park 4pm to 7pm on Tuesdays (just to complicate things, on the Tuesday we go to Crealy we will be meeting in the park on the Monday that week)

You may have already received an email but just in case you haven't - we are unable to open Juniors tonight due to lack of staff. We will open Inters and Seniors as normal and Juniors next week is back on as normal.

We will soon be reaching the summer break and we will keeping 2 sessions open over the whole summer in addition to our trips:
Mondays 6pm to 8pm - Years 7,8 & 9 (including Years 6's going into Year 7 in Sept.
Wednesday - 6.30pm to 8.30pm - Years 9 up to age 19

Forms for the Summer Trips are now available - if oyu haven't got one yet - please pop down to Room 13 in the evening sessions or email [email protected]

The Hangouts session for SEND young people will be on tonight from 6pm to 7.30pm - we are sorry that it has been a rocky start with many of the sessions being closed recently BUT we are open tonight and we are looking forward to everyone. If you are new, the first tie you visit we will need to complete a 'Joining In Tool' together with a parent or gaurdian as well as our usual membership form and consent.

Seniors session is back to being on a Thursday night. If you aren't too hot - come on down! There is no deny it is war...

Seniors session is back to being on a Thursday night. If you aren't too hot - come on down! There is no deny it is warm at Room 13 but we have the fans running full tilt and plenty of cold drinks. Welcome back to Thursday.
