IBZ Schloss Gimborn and the GS-Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen future cooperation in the field of international police and security training.

While the GS Foundation is internationally engaged in the field of Security Sector Reform, IBZ Schloss Gimborn, as the educational institution of the International Police Association IAC (IPA), stands for international exchange, professional training and cooperation between law enforcement and security professionals worldwide.

A first joint international leadership training with delegations from Chile is already planned for August 2026 at IBZ Schloss Gimborn.

We are looking forward to future international cooperation and professional exchange.

Description

English language skills are a prerequisite for participation in the seminar. For more complex content, there is language support from the seminar instructor, who speaks fluent German.

During the advanced OSINT course, participants will acquire additional skills needed to conduct intensive investigations on the Internet. After completing this course, you will be able to conduct comprehensive investigations on the Internet and the Dark Web. They will be able to interpret, verbalise and report the information they find.

At the end of this training you will have an insight into the possibilities of deeper research on the Internet and the Dark Web. They will have learnt to use advanced search techniques and geo-location investigations effectively and will have made progress in social media investigations. You will be able to set up virtual investigation environments.

For this course, it is highly recommended that participants have successfully completed the OSINT basic course, as specific computer skills are required. For those who already have experience of open source investigation, we recommend this advanced course.

It is important that participants bring their own laptop. A basic knowledge of English is a prerequisite. Linguistic support will be provided by the trainer for more complex content.

COPS 2.0 Seminar, organised by IPA Antwerp, taking place in Ranst, Belgium, from 16–23 August 2026.

This intensive 8-day seminar focuses on the theme “Drugs and related violence” and combines expert-led lectures, practical workshops, and scenario-based operational training delivered by experienced police trainers and specialists.

The programme offers a strong balance of theoretical input, hands-on training, international networking, and socio-cultural activities.

Key highlights include:
• Drug enforcement and related violence training
• Tactical and operational workshops (breaching, concealment, knife retention, range work)
• Synthetic drug lab visit and K9 demonstrations
• Scenario-based role-play exercises
• Commercial equipment demonstrations
• Socio-cultural excursion to Antwerp with guided crime scene tour

Costs:
• IPA Members: €650 (all-inclusive package)
• Non-Members: €800 (all-inclusive package)
• Day participation is also available (limited places)

The seminar is open to operational personnel (police, military police, customs, etc.) aged up to 40, with a maximum of 60 participants for the full programme. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis via Sections.
