🌿🌼 Change of Plans for This Month’s Guerrilla Gardening 🌼🌿

There’ll be no Guerrilla Gardening session this month as the council are leaving the space to grow wildflowers to support local wildlife and pollinators 🐝🦋🌱

Instead, we’ll be heading to THBC to help plant up the new raised beds! 🙌

Between May 11 and May 24, Benefact Group Movement for Good are taking nominations for 10 CICs or Charities to receive £5,000 each.
This would benefit us greatly and allow us to deliver more vital gardening and woodworking sessions.

🌱💪 THBC Beds Ready for Planting! 💪🌱

After a full day of hard work from Hogarth and Ben, the raised beds at THBC are now ready to go! 🙌

They’ve been topped up with fresh soil and are all set for the next step, planting seeds 🌿✨

We’ve also left an area of wildflowers untouched, it was full of bees and butterflies 🐝🦋 a great reminder of how important these spaces are for local wildlife.

We’re getting closer to seeing this space come alive with flowers and produce for the community. Keep an eye out for planting updates! 💚

🌿💪 Another Productive Session at Peppers Garden! 💪🌿

We had another great morning making progress at Peppers Garden!

A big thanks to Cal, who continued clearing and tidying the beautiful brick pattern, helping reveal more of its original character. Meanwhile, we got stuck in painting sections of the fence around the play park, helping freshen up the space for everyone who uses it. 🎨✨

There’s still more to do, and the rest of the fence will be painted next week. Step by step, the garden is really starting to come back to life! 🌱

🎥🌿 Progress at Peppers Garden! 🌿🎥

The transformation continues! Last week, Cal Phoenix from Phoenix Gardening helped us make a great start clearing the overgrown grass from the beautiful brick pattern, and it’s already making a huge difference. 💪✨

We also spent time clearing leaves and moss from the play area, helping make it look better and, more importantly, safer for children to play. 🌱🛝

Behind the scenes, plans for new raised beds are coming together and will be showcased very soon 👀🌿

Step by step, this space is coming back to life — thanks to everyone supporting the journey! 💚

🌿♻️ Guerrilla Gardening Update ♻️🌿

This month’s Guerrilla Gardening session turned into more of a space tidy-up after we found a large amount of litter dumped on the site. Together, we cleared chairs, an old broken bike, and piles of paper - enough to half fill a 1-ton rubble bag! 💪

Not quite the maintenance session we planned, but an important step in caring for the space and keeping it welcoming for everyone. 🌱

📢 Heads up: There will be no Guerrilla Gardening next month as we’ll be attending a fruit tree grafting workshop - exciting things to come! 🍎🌳

🥔🌱 Potato Day Success at NOGS! 🌱🥔

We had a brilliant time at the NOGS Potato Day — such a great selection of potatoes on offer! After much deliberation (and excitement 😄), we’ve chosen 7 varieties to grow across our network of gardens:

🥔 Charlotte

They’re now busy chitting and will be planted out across our gardens very soon. We can’t wait to see how they grow and, of course, to share the harvest with our communities! 🌿💚
