2,000 youngsters enjoyed a super day at Wicksteed Park .. all the fun of the fair, beautiful countryside and the great view from the train ride. Northampton supported Purple Oaks Academy to take 110 pupils to the Fun Day with their teachers, assistant’s and parents.

The UK's biggest single outing for disadvantaged children is happening today!

The Rotary Children's Fun Day is taking 25,000 children on over 200 days out across the country, all supported by Rotary volunteers.

From theatres to zoos, theme parks to the seaside, Rotary Children's Fun Days give memorable experiences to vulnerable children who need it most.

We hope that everyone attending a Rotary Children's Fun Day in 2026 has an incredible day!

Thank you to our partners Kids in Mind who help make it possible.

Congratulations to Musica Charity Choir Milton Keynes… we enjoyed a superb ‘Peace the World Over’ choral and musical performance in the beautiful setting of St Peter’s and St Paul’s Church Abington Park. At times moved to tears by the solo and choral performances, the musical pieces filled the church with emotion and words of Hope, Solidarity and future Peace. The beautiful, sweeping lyrics to "Christmas Lullaby" (from Jason Robert Brown's musical Songs for a New World) captured a powerful theme of faith, carrying hope, and embracing the future. The choir sang the spiritual anthem ‘Prayer for Ukraine’ in Ukrainian… and we were pleased to welcome a Ukrainian family amongst our many guests to enjoy our fundraising evening in aid of Ukrainian children. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped make our evening such a memorable experience.

Rotarians worldwide are committed to promoting international understanding, goodwill and peace.

What a brilliant evening! Our GQT panel talked through questions raised, with each individual gardener.. offering their guidance and expertise in a friendly and informative way… Nicholas Warliker, Michael Brown, Cheryl Jarvis and Michelle Marriott entertained us and there were lots of interesting discussions.. and laughs. Lamport Hall’s gardens fresh from recent showers glowed in the early evening sunshine, and our gardeners enjoyed their beauty before enjoying canapés and refreshments. We are very grateful to Lamport Hall for hosting our GQT and our gardening experts for helping us raise funds for our Rotary community projects in Northampton.

We had great fun and games playing Minor Sports with Peterborough Club.. Quite evenly matched it was all very close , finishing with Northampton on 14 and Peterborough on 13. We were well hosted by Chris at Islip WMC.. 2 lovely skittles tables, and a super tasty buffet.
