Notice of Call for Nominations
Executive Committee Elections

New Submission Deadline: 23:59hrs on 6 September 2026

MAUK invites nominations for its Executive Committee ahead of the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). This notice sets out the nomination arrangements for the Chair and for all other Executive Committee positions. The elections will be conducted in accordance with the newly adopted Association’s constitution.

- Chairperson nomination process
The position of Chairperson will follow a controlled nomination process. Nominations for Chairperson may only be submitted by the Association’s affiliated member associations. The AGM will then elect the Chair from the nominated candidates only.

Affiliated associations are invited to put forward their nominee(s) by *23:59hrs on 6 September 2026*. Each nomination should include the candidate’s full name, contact details, and a brief statement of support, where required.

- Other Executive Committee positions
All other Executive Committee positions (i.e., Vice Chair, Secretary General, Treasurer, and 5 Exec Commitee members) will follow an open nomination process.

Candidates may self-nominate or be nominated by another member. Where more nominations are received than positions available, the election will be contested at the AGM.

Nominations for these posts should be submitted by *23:59hrs on 6 September 2026* and should include the candidate’s full name, the position sought, contact details

- Eligibility and submission
All nominees must meet the eligibility requirements set out in the Association’s constitution or election rules. Nominations should be completed via this form https://forms.gle/oKVJbcv83rmmCN4Z9. _Late nominations may not be accepted._

- AGM election
The final election for the Chairperson and all other Executive Committee roles will take place at the AGM. Members present and entitled to vote will elect the Chair from the nominated candidates and vote on contested executive committee positions where applicable.

Change of Date and Venue for the Daughters of Nyasa 2026 End-of-Year Fundraising Dinner

Please be advised that, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Daughters of Nyasa Coventry and Rugby 2026 End-of-Year Fundraising Dinner has been rescheduled.

The event will now take place as follows:

Today, the MaUK EGM meeting was held at the Malawi Embassy in London.
