We’ve had some lovely messages from people interested in helping with our weekly village group, thank you! ❤️

We now really need to turn that interest into a small team of volunteers and get some names on the rota.

Our first session of the new term is due to be NEXT THURSDAY, 3rd September, and at the moment, we don’t have anyone signed up to run it.

We’d really love to keep the group going. It’s a lovely, friendly weekly session for local little ones and their parents/carers, but it can only happen if we have enough volunteers to share the load.

👉 You don’t need to commit to every week.
👉 We’re hoping to build a team so that everyone only needs to help occasionally.
👉 You won’t be expected to do it alone – we’ll make sure new volunteers know exactly what’s involved.
👉 The more people who volunteer, the less often everyone needs to do it!

Could you help next Thursday, or put your name down to help with a session this term?

Please comment below or send us a message by Monday 31st of August so we can confirm whether the group can continue or not.

🌈 Tomorrow is our last session of the term 🌈
We’d love to see as many families as possible before we break for the holidays.

Unfortunately, it’s also potentially our last ever session. Our current volunteers are moving on and without more people able to commit to help from September, we simply won’t be able to continue.

If Rugrats has been a place you’ve enjoyed, where your little ones have played, made friends and grown in confidence, we’d really appreciate you considering whether you could help.

Please have a chat with us tomorrow or send us a message if you’d like to find out more. Even if you’re unsure what would be involved, we’re very happy to answer any questions.

We’d love nothing more than to keep this lovely community group going for the families of Roade and the surrounding area ❤️

🌈 Roade Rugrats Needs You! 🌈

Our friendly baby and toddler group is looking for a few extra volunteers to help keep Roade Rugrats running for local families.

Whether you can help every week, once a fortnight, or would like to take on a small role behind the scenes, we'd love to hear from you.

💛 Ways you could help:
• Setting up and packing away sessions
• Welcoming families and helping children play
• Serving snacks and supporting simple crafts
• Helping with communications or supplies
• Taking on one of our small volunteer lead roles

⭐ Volunteer Coordinator needed from September
We're also looking for a new Volunteer Coordinator. This role takes around 2–3 hours per week, with a full handover and support provided.

📍 When & Where?
Thursday mornings, 10.00am–11.30am
Roade Village Hall, Bailey Brooks Lane, Roade, NN7 2LS

No experience is needed – just kindness, reliability and a willingness to help. Training and support will be provided.

If you've ever enjoyed coming along to Rugrats, or would like to support a valued village group, we'd love to chat.

📧 Please contact Dominique at [email protected] for more information.

🙏 Please share this post to help us reach potential volunteers in the local community.
