Please be extra careful during the current heatwave, especially with older dogs, puppies and overweight dogs, as they are at much higher risk of heat stroke.

Early morning and late evening walks are your best friend right now, and remember, pavement temperatures can be FAR hotter than the air temperature! If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws. 🐾

Keeping your dog well groomed is also especially important in warm weather. A healthy, well-maintained coat helps regulate body temperature properly and allows air to circulate through the coat more effectively. 🧼

Plenty of fresh water, shady spots, cooling mats and indoor enrichment over intense exercise are the way forward this week!

Stay safe and keep cool!

Hi everyone,

Just a friendly reminder to make sure your club membership is up to date so you can join us for this year’s AMAZING Extravaganza! ✨🐾

Building on the success of last year’s event, this year is shaping up to be even bigger, better, and more fun, with a fantastic day planned for all our wonderful Klee Kai community and their humans.

To attend and take part in all the fun, competitions, activities, and member perks, memberships will need to be current before the event. If you’re unsure of your membership status, please get in touch and we’ll happily help.

For those whose memberships are already up to date, we have exciting news… our custom gifts for this year have finally arrived and will be shipping out tomorrow! 🎁 We cannot wait for everyone to receive them.

We’re so excited to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and celebrate another unforgettable Extravaganza together.

The countdown is officially on! 🖤

Best wishes,
The Board of Directors

The Alaskan Klee Kai Association of Britain is thrilled to announce that, for the very first time, we are creating our own 2026 calendar!

We all know the frustration, standing in the shop, excited to pick a new calendar, only to find every breed under the sun, except the Alaskan Klee Kai! Well, this year, we’re taking matters into our own paws and making a calendar just for our amazing breed.

Each month will be auctioned off so that your dog can be the star of the show! And the best part, while this is an Alaskan Klee Kai Association of Britain initiative, bidding is open to all Klee Kai owners around the world.

Not only will your dog be featured in a stunning, breed-focused calendar, but by participating, you’re also helping our small club promote the Alaskan Klee Kai across Britain, spreading awareness and celebrating these incredible dogs we all love.

Get ready to showcase your Klee Kai, share their charm with the world, and be part of a truly special project, this is your dog’s moment to shine!
