Thank you to Chris Ward MP for acknowledging our project 'Homeless In The Havens' and its vital work on complex cases, giving hands-on practical support and the wrap-around care needed to help solve the issue.

HITH provides support for rough sleepers, people in emergency accommodation, those at risk of homelessness and people who find themselves 'sofa-surfing' with many complex needs that MUST be addressed as a whole in order for rehousing to have any longevity.

The Havens area is the coastal stretch between Brighton and Eastbourne and up to Lewes. The Lewes District Council area.

If you spot a rough sleeper that you feel might need support, please submit an alert at: https://thestreetlink.org.uk/start or, of course, ring 999 if they are in danger.

We would like to congratulate all the volunteers at Havens Food Cooperative for being recognised as FINALISTS in the upcoming 2027 Elysian Awards.

Havens Food Cooperative Volunteers, No One Left Behind Award

More than 50 local residents collect surplus, short-dated and "wonky" produce 365 days a year from more than 20 supermarkets and retailers across coastal East Sussex, and get it back into the community within hours through a community pantry and community pop-up hubs. Since 2020, they have rescued more than £2 million worth of food. Their approach is "Zero Barriers, Zero Waste": no referrals, no vouchers, and food provided as part of an environmental mission where nobody feels they are receiving a handout.

📲 This week it is Get Online Week!

Imagine trying to find housing, access benefits, speak to a support worker, or attend appointments without a phone...

For many people experiencing homelessness, digital exclusion creates another barrier to getting the help they need.

Havens Community Hub is supported by the Good Things Foundation and the National Data Bank to distribute devices and sim cards with data, ensuring people stay connect to the support they need.

We're currently seeking donations of power banks, smart phones and charging cables through our Amazon Wishlist to support people sleeping rough and experiencing homelessness this winter to stay online and access the support they need.

Every donation helps someone stay connected to vital services and support.
Can you make a donation?
