Newbury Soup Kitchen

Newbury Soup Kitchen The Newbury Soup Kitchen is a voluntary organisation providing help and support to the Newbury homeless community and those less fortunate than others.

Food provision sessions, bespoke support and outreach throughout the week for people experiencing homelessness or vulnerably housed in our community or West Berkshire. The primary operation is a friendly drop-in food provision and outreach for vulnerable adults who perhaps have mental health issues or are just lonely. All are greeted with hot food and drinks every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday

evening. A warm welcome awaits people who wish to socialise, find support, enjoy a hot meal and interact with like-minded people. Wednesday and Saturdays we provide food and support in The Wharf from our food van. Tuesdays we have community nurses and eye tests with other support at the Salvation Army Hall 2-4pm. Meryl our founder works tirelessly all week to provide outreach, support and signposting where possible.

You can now support Newbury Soup Kitchen Through One-Off, Monthly, or Annual Giving

At Newbury Soup Kitchen, we believe in the power of community. Every meal we serve, every conversation we have, and every act of kindness we share helps restore dignity, comfort, and hope to those experiencing homelessness, vulnerability, or financial hardship in our area.

But we can’t do it alone.

By making a donation you can make a lasting difference — whether you give a one-off gift, set up a monthly donation, or choose to contribute annually. GIFT AID will be available to us too through our donation link here: https://newburysoupkitchen.beaconforms.com/form/fbd7b52f?bcn_source=qr Every contribution helps us keep our doors open, our kitchen stocked, and our support services running for those who need them most.

🧡 Why Your Donation Matters

Your generosity helps us provide:

Nutritious meals every week to people facing food insecurity.

Warm clothing, toiletries, and essentials for those sleeping rough or struggling to make ends meet.

Emotional and practical support, including signposting to healthcare, housing, and mental health services.

A safe, welcoming space where everyone is treated with respect and compassion.

Every pound donated goes directly toward sustaining these vital services that make Newbury a stronger, more caring community. THANK YOU

The Breakfast Club is not about ticking boxes. It’s a space for businesses that want to better understand the realities of homelessness and housing insecurity in Newbury and West Berkshire and to be part of doing something about it.

You will meet other organisations who are already taking that step, share ideas, and see where your business can make a genuine impact.

📍Hosted by our CEO Meryl Praill and the team of Newbury Soup Kitchen staff and volunteers Donnington & Co (formerly Donnington Valley) whilst The Vineyard is being refurbished

🗓 Quarterly: January • April • July • October
