We have the lovely Gemma from the Corn Exchange Newbury coming at 11am this Wednesday to do a sing-a-long for little ones. and then she’ll set up a crafty corner for the slightly bigger ones.

Singing in early childhood boosts language, social, emotional, and cognitive skills. It strengthens vocal muscles, improves understanding and builds a sense of belonging. Singing also helps children manage emotions, and gain confidence.

We were absolutely delighted to welcome a very special visitor to Educafe this Wednesday! đź’›

It was such a joy having this wonderful student from join us. Her enthusiasm, confidence and passion for baking truly shone through. It means so much to see young people growing, taking on new experiences and stepping into their future with such positivity.

A huge thank you to her and everyone at Mary Hare for all the incredibly delicious treats they have baked for our visitors— they went down an absolute treat with our team (as always!) 🍰✨

We’ve been so lucky to be part of her journey and we couldn’t be prouder. Wishing you all the very best for your future endeavours, we know you’ll go on to achieve amazing things! 🌟

This week's Boogie Mites West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire session was pure joy. Tiny dancers, big beats and so many happy little faces.

Watching everyone clap, wiggle, stomp and sing together was the kind of energy we love.Thanks to all the families who joined in and made the room come alive. Can’t wait to do it again soon 💛

Our favourite Lizzie from Boogie Mites West Berkshire and South Oxfordshire coming in at 12:30pm for an interactive and engaging music sessions for babies and toddlers.

Her sessions help helps children develop language skills by strengthening vocal muscles, improving rhythm and pitch, and expanding vocabulary through repetition. Singing in groups fosters social skills like cooperation and teamwork, promoting a sense of belonging and inclusion.

Additionally, singing aids emotional development by encouraging self-expression, managing emotions, and building confidence.

Join Fi from Fitter Mother this Wednesday at Parents Village as she leads us through some gentle standing mobilisations designed to relieve tension, improve posture and combat mum-fatigue. These will be suitable for absolutely anyone to join in with, there's no need to be in your activewear, it's all about showing you some stretches that will feel great whether you're feeding and carrying a newborn or have become a climbing frame for your toddler!

Fi will also be on hand to share her expert guidance on postnatal recovery, so whether you have questions on improving your pelvic floor function, the best bras to wear whilst feeding and exercising, or would like a hands on check for tummy muscle separation she will be here to make sure you are feeling strong, empowered and informed!

Do come along if you have any questions regarding postpartum fitness including fitness after C-section and pelvic floor trauma.

🌟 Farewell and Best Wishes, Sue!🌟

This week, we say a heartfelt goodbye to Sue as she retires from Newbury Library.

Sue, thank you for all the incredible support, kindness and patience you’ve shown us at Educafe. Your dedication has made such a positive difference and it’s been a pleasure working alongside you.

You’ll be truly missed, but we’re so excited for everything this next chapter brings. Wishing you a happy, relaxing and well-deserved retirement filled with all the things you love.

What a lovely session at Parent Village during Half term. We had the lovely Sian from Liberate Our Voices Singing doing a group singing session that invited everyone to join in. We had our very own Gilli giving dental care advice for babies and toddlers.

We also had some yummy treats from Cornish Bakery Newbury for our visitors and volunteers.
