Recovery Tribe

Recovery Tribe Recovery Tribe is a new Community Interest Company.

Set up in 2025, we are working to establish our community for people in the Newbury and North Hampshire area. We aim to provide compassionate, lived-experience-led support for individuals navigating the challenges of anxiety, loss, trauma, addiction, OCD, depression, those maintaining recovery or simply seeking a renewed sense of purpose and connection. At Recovery Tribe, we aim to create a safe,

inclusive space where people can engage in peer-led support, connect with others who truly understand their journey, and take meaningful steps toward wellbeing and growth. Every aspect of what we do is shaped by lived-experience, ensuring authenticity, relatability, and real impact.

New to Newbury!

The days are getting lighter. The year is still wide open. If nothing changed, would you be happy living the rest of 2026 exactly as you are now?

If alcohol has been slowing you down — your energy, your mornings, your motivation — this could be the moment to take your life off pause.

🤝We’re building a lived‑experience‑led community group locally – ‘Newbury Sober Socials’…. open to sober‑curious, those who are already living alcohol-free or “just taking a break” adults. We’ll be planning things like coffee socials, walks, talks, sober brunches, trips and seasonal events.

If this hits home, reach out with your thoughts or feedback and help shape something that we know can be truly life changing.

This can feel like a sensitive topic, and not everyone will want to comment publicly. If that’s you, please feel free to email us at [email protected] or join the private Facebook group we have set up https://www.facebook.com/groups/4227843610823503

So, if you want 2026 to start feeling different and you’re wondering what life could look like with more clarity, ‘Newbury Sober Socials’ could be for you…take your first step, connect with like-minded people and make new friends!

Recovery Tribe: A fresh season of strength

It’s been a while since we gathered — but please don’t mistake the quiet for standing still. Behind the scenes we’ve been building, planning, and shaping new projects for the next season of Recovery Tribe. But why…..?
…Because when we meet, things happen.
When we show up for each other, lives move.
When community gathers, strength grows.

And we’re ready to step into that again.

We’ll be back at Podium Place Café on Monday 2nd March from 10am, creating space for real connection, honest conversation, and the kind of community that helps us all keep walking forward on positive pathways.

Early spring is a time of new beginnings — light returning, energy rising, hope taking root. It feels like the perfect moment to come back together.

More news is coming soon.
More opportunities to grow, to belong, to rebuild.
Watch this space — the next season of Recovery Tribe is on its way 🌱💫

🌟 Today We Celebrate 18 Years of Sobriety 🌟

Today marks a powerful milestone for one of our Founding Directors here at Recovery Tribe — 18 years sober!

Eighteen years ago, they arrived at the doors of a rehab centre, unsure of what the future would hold but determined to try. That first step wasn’t easy… but it was the beginning of a journey that has transformed their life in ways they could never have imagined. Through commitment, courage, and daily discipline, they’ve built 18 years of recovery — one day at a time — and have never looked back.

Their story is a reminder that anything is possible. Change is possible. Hope is possible. A different life is possible. Whether you’re struggling with addiction, feeling stuck, or quietly wondering if you could reduce or stop drinking, this milestone stands as living proof that recovery can begin with a single brave decision to try.

If you’re curious, if you’re thinking about making a change, or if you simply want to connect with someone who understands, we’re here. Reach out to us at [email protected] — you don’t have to figure it out alone.

And because every journey matters, we’d love to hear from you.
💬 Do you have a sobriety story to share to encourage others?
🎉 Have you reached a milestone — whether it’s one day, one month, or one decade?

Let us know in the comments. Every single day in recovery counts. Every single day is worth celebrating.

Here’s to courage, to community, and to the belief that recovery is possible for everyone.
