We have the lovely Roxy to support with feeding advice, or you can just come along to meet other parents, share experiences, or have a change of scenery.

At a loose end this afternoon?
Pop down to the Hub and join us for our parent support group.
Parenting is hard!! From little ones to teens- we get it! And just when you overcome something, there’s always something new to navigate.
Sometimes a cup of tea (or coffee) and a chat helps. Sometimes it’s nice to just get out the hous 🤣

Some topics that have popped up for us over the last week are:

🔵 Practising mindfulness and keeping positive
🔵 Advocating for yourself or your child
🔵 Ideas for the summer holidays (it’s a loooong one!)

As always, the kettle will be on. 1-3pm at The Ashley Family Hub, Norman’s Way.

Amazing news!

Do you have a child/ young person with additional needs or a disability? If so, head over to new forest and check out the wonderful work they do. Scarf not only support children but also their parents too.
Lauren is a member of Scarf and the charity has been a lifeline for her. They have provided wonderful experiences for her whole family that they may not have accessed otherwise. She can not rate them highly enough.

Please share with anyone you know of that may benefit from this wonderful charity.

We are absolutely delighted to share that Scarf New Forest has been nominated for the BBC Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards.

This nomination means so much because it reflects the experiences of the families at the heart of Scarf. As one parent shared in their nomination:

For over 30 years, Scarf has worked to provide activities, friendships, support and opportunities for children and young people with additional needs and their families across the New Forest. From holiday activities and family trips to helping siblings feel included and valued, our aim has always been to create a place where families can connect, belong and thrive.

We know that many of our families face challenges that others may never see, and we're proud to offer a community where no one feels judged, everyone is understood, and lasting friendships are made.

This nomination belongs to every child, young person, parent, volunteer, committee member, supporter and fundraiser who has been part of the Scarf family. Thank you for helping us make a difference every day.

Despite the weather, we had a great turn out at Youth Club this evening.
The session was jam packed with basketball, board games, painting/creating positivity jars, burger making and lots of ball throwing for our gorgeous Cocoa 🐶🐾
