Let me tell you about our incredible summer...

It’s been busy, joyful, exhausting at times, and full of some really special memories.

Throughout July and August, our focus has been simple: giving our families opportunities to spend time together, make memories and enjoy experiences without having to worry about the cost.

We started with our Summer Show of The Jungle Book, followed by a cinema trip for our Home School Group. We took our parents out for a well-deserved meal, organised multiple 1:1 days out, enjoyed a brilliant session with Ragdolly Annas, took lots of our families to Action4Youth, completed the Elmer Trail, enjoyed park visits, held our huge Family Fun Day and finished the summer with a wonderful day together at Woburn Safari Park.

And throughout all of this, our free shop remained open and available to our families. During the heatwaves alone, we spent more than £1,000 on fans and cooling aids to make sure families had the support they needed.

This summer, Emily’s Star has spent over £9,500 on family events, activities and support.

But the most important part?

Every single one of these opportunities remained completely FREE for our families to access.

No ticket costs. No worrying about whether there’s enough money left that month. No family having to miss out because they simply can’t afford it.

That’s incredibly important to us, but we can only continue to do it with your support.

£9,500 is a huge amount of money for a small charity, and as we look ahead to everything we want to continue providing for our families, we need your help.

If you’ve followed our summer and smiled at the photos, seen the memories being made or simply believe that families should be able to access support and experiences like these without cost being a barrier, please consider supporting Emily’s Star.
