Anyone who knows me will know that football has always been a huge part of my life. From being a season ticket holder at MK Dons to being an armchair Liverpool fan, and then starting my own coaching journey five years ago at Willen Football Club, football has always been a real passion of mine.

I just love everything football stands for, especially teamwork and community. ❤️⚽

So, when Michael Carrara Homes TAUK Milton Keynes gave us the opportunity to attend the Players' Sponsor Night at Stadium MK last night, I was absolutely thrilled! Not only was I incredibly excited about what this opportunity meant for our charity, but I was also personally over the moon!

I took along Ellie, one of our trustees, and we had such a wonderful evening.

Michael Carrara had sponsored Ryan Wintle, who joined us for the evening and sat between Ellie and me. We had such a lovely time chatting about all things football, but also sharing stories about our charity, our families and so much more.

It really was an incredible evening, filled with everything I love about football — teamwork, connection and a real sense of community.

To top off an already fantastic evening, Ellie and I collected our framed shirt, which we're delighted to be using as an auction prize at our 2027 Together Ball with Girl Pack & Ailsa’s Aim

A huge thank you to Michael Carrara Homes TAUK Milton Keynes for this amazing opportunity, to Milton Keynes Dons FC making us feel so welcome and for giving us an evening we'll remember for a long time.

Football really does have the power to bring people together, and last night was a perfect reminder of that! ⭐️⚽️

In July, Julia ordered one of our 2lb Mini Packs for her little girl, Mabel, while she was being cared for at East Surrey Hospital.

Julia kindly shared how much the pack meant to her family during their time in neonatal care.

"Thank you so much for sending a package to East Surrey Hospital. It made such a difference for our little baby and really helped us out!"

It's always lovely to hear from families who have received one of our Mini Packs, especially knowing that something so simple can make a real difference during such a worrying and emotional time.

Julia told us that she made use of the baby clothes, knitted blanket, cardigan and hat, bonding squares and milestone cards included in Mabel's pack.

When your baby arrives much earlier than expected, finding clothes small enough can be difficult. That's why we want to make sure families have access to essentials that are specially made for their tiny babies.

At Emily's Star, we provide FREE Mini Packs to neonatal units across the UK, designed for premature babies weighing between 2lb and 5lb.

Each Mini Pack contains:

A vest and baby-grow

A hand-knitted cardigan, hat and blanket

Bonding squares to help parents feel close to their baby

A NICU journal, notepad and pen

Premature baby milestone cards

An Emily's Star information leaflet

Available in pink or blue, our Mini Packs are put together with care to provide practical essentials alongside a little comfort and reassurance during those early days.

We're so pleased that Mabel's pack was able to help Julia and her family, and we're grateful to her for taking the time to share her experience.

It's messages like these that remind us why our Mini Packs are so important and why we want to continue reaching as many neonatal families as possible.

The pub crawl is back but this time it’s on halloween…

Huge thank you to The Dolphin Newport Pagnell for arranging the event for 3 charities including us!

Unfortunately we are unable to attend as myself & volunteers are hosting our families Halloween party tomorrow but please don’t let that stop you attending the crawl & helping to raise lots of pennies for 3 amazing charities (even if we do say so ourselves 🤣🤣)

BINGO NIGHT IS BACK!!

Cancel your plans, find your lucky dabber and get practising your best shout of BINGO because we're back for another night of fun, prizes and probably a few people getting far too competitive over a game of bingo!!

Our next Charity Bingo Night is Friday 6th November and we'd love you to join us!

Whether you're a bingo pro, haven't played in years or just fancy a night out where you might actually come home with more money than you left with, everyone is welcome!

Doors open 7pm, eyes down 7.30pm!

Family friendly, kids are welcome to attend AND play! Although we can't promise they won't beat you!
