🌟 What’s New at the Scrapstore? 🌟

Wow... it’s been absolutely crazy here at the Scrapstore!
In fact, we can’t even remember the last time we did a "What’s New" post. 😅

The past few months have been a whirlwind of school giveaways, fantastic donations arriving thick and fast, and creating and distributing an incredible 150 craft packs across our community.

A huge thank you goes to Milton Keynes Community Foundation and their Community Roots Project for making this possible. ❤️ It has been amazing to help bring creativity and fun to so many local families.

🎄 Christmas is slowly making its way onto our shelves! 🎄
Yes, we know it's still early, but festive goodies are starting to appear, and there will be plenty more arriving over the coming weeks.

🎨 We have also received a huge donation of: ✅ Paints✅ Paper✅ Foam boards✅ Craft materials✅ And so much more!

There are some fantastic resources available right now for schools, community groups, families, crafters and makers, so make sure you pop in and see what treasures you can find.

📍 Keep an eye on our page for more stock updates, creative ideas and exciting arrivals coming soon!

🎨 BIG NEWS FOR MILTON KEYNES! 🎨

We're incredibly proud to announce that MKPA Scrapstore is now part of the Community RePaint network! Community RePaint

So, what does this mean for the people of Milton Keynes and surrounding areas?

It means more access to affordable, quality paint for local residents, community groups, charities, schools, and projects. Through Community RePaint, surplus paint that might otherwise go to waste is redistributed to communities, helping people transform their homes, gardens, and community spaces while reducing landfill waste.

Our Community RePaint area at the Scrapstore is open to everyone - not just Scrapstore members. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to improve their surroundings, regardless of their budget, and we want to remove barriers that can stop people from getting creative or making essential improvements to their homes and community spaces.

By choosing Community RePaint, you're not only saving money, you're also helping the environment by giving perfectly usable paint a second life.

Together, we're making creativity, home improvement, and community transformation more accessible for everyone.

🎉 Great News! 🎉

Thanks to a £1,000 grant from Community Roots Project - awarded by Milton Keynes Community Foundation, MKPA was able to create and distribute 150 Craft & Grow Boxes to children and families across Milton Keynes.

With the help of our staff, volunteers, and trustees, we supplied 30 boxes each to Saplings Family Centre, Hummingbird Family Centre, Daisychain Family Centre, Sunshine Children's Centre and Pebbles Family Centre.

Each box contained creative Scrapstore materials, along with a plant pot, soil, and seeds, encouraging families to get creative and grow something together at home. 🌱🎨

A huge thank you to Milton Keynes Community Foundation for helping us bring creative play, learning, and growing opportunities to local children and families. We can't wait to see the impact these boxes continue to make!

💚🌱
