🧹Having a clear-out before Bonfire Night? Your responsibility doesn’t end when someone takes your waste away.

You have a legal duty to take reasonable steps to make sure it goes to someone authorised to collect it.

Before they collect:

✅Check their waste carrier registration with Natural Resources Wales.
📍Confirm where your waste will be taken.
📝Keep their business and contact details.
🧾Ask for a receipt and retain proof of payment.

These records can help show you made the checks. Don’t let your unwanted items become someone else’s illegal bonfire.🔥

Join us and Bro Coffi for a litter pick down Barry Island at 10am this Sunday 1st November

🚨🚨LITTER PICK ALERT‼️🚨🚨

This Sunday 1st November, 10AM.

It’s that time of the month again where we have a get-together, make friends, and do something nice for the local area! 🚮 🗑️

To be fair the beach and surrounding area are almost always kept in pristine condition - but every little helps. 🫡 We found some of our little-pick crew have been going a little further afield, over onto the football pitches and roads nearby. Anything to get the steps in!

As usual, we will be graced with litter picking royalty… Elin from Keep Wales Tidy - South East will be down to hand out extra equipment and give some safety tips.

FREE HOT DRINK FOR ALL PICKERS!!

We would love to see you down here. Come on down, meet some new people, and do something positive.

See you by the beach huts!

☕️🌊☀️🏖️🚮🚯

The rain didn't stop volunteers from the Rhondda Fach yesterday to come along and support the launch of a new litter hub at Re:Make Valleys in Maerdy! 💚♻️👏 A big thank you to members of local Community Group Envirofach and to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council Street care Team for collecting the red bags. ☺️

You don't have to go far to be a litter picking hero!😍
Did you know that there are Litter Picking Hubs all over Wales making it easy for anyone to borrow free litter picking equipment?

They could be in
✅The local library
✅Community centre
✅Shop or even a local café

Whether you're heading out for a walk, meeting friends or just have half hour to spare, why not borrow equipment while you’re out! 😎
Every bag of litter collected helps make your local area cleaner, safer and more enjoyable for everyone.
