It is with deep sadness that TS Apollo reports the passing of Lt Cdr (SCC) D Carter RD* RNR.
David was a highly respected and much-loved figure across the Sea Cadet Corps, particularly within the communications branch, where he served in both area and national roles. His commitment to the Corps spanned an extraordinary 58 years, beginning in July 1959.
Throughout his long service, he instructed at many units across the UK before joining Marlow Unit in February 1980, where he remained a dedicated volunteer until April 2017. His impact on TS Apollo and the wider Corps is immeasurable.
We are forever grateful for the knowledge, experience, and support he shared with countless cadets and adults. His legacy lives on in the many individuals he inspired, mentored, and guided over nearly six decades of service.
