We meet the first Wednesday of every month at The Venue, Rainworth from 7pm

Our branch, as like all of the others, is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for The Royal British Legion to support men and women, ex-serving personnel and their families.

We’ve heard nothing but amazing things about the event held by Perrys Pantry on Saturday and we can’t wait to see what they do next.

Tomorrow’s the day and we are all set!! 🌺💚

We’ve been busy getting everything ready for our Children’s Remembrance Morning tomorrow and we honestly can’t wait to welcome you all!

We’ve got a fantastic morning planned, with lots for the children to see, make, explore and learn.

From poppy crafts, painting and remembrance artwork to meeting the RN Beachhead Assault Commandos, who will be bringing history to life with their amazing WWII displays, equipment and stories!

And of course, we’ll be keeping everyone fed and watered with plenty of hot and cold food, drinks and homemade cakes available to buy 🍰☕

The 2026 Poppy Appeal starts here!

Today, representatives from the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force are taking on a special RBL mission to deliver four unique poppies to inspiring Armed Forces families across the country.

During this year’s Poppy Appeal we are shining a light on families in the Armed Forces community, recognising the unique challenges and sacrifices they make.

Beginning in Manchester, we'll visit North Wales and the RBL’s Battle Back Centre in Shropshire, before finishing in London where we'll be joined by Dame Joanna Lumley.

When someone serves, their family serves too - so this year we ask that you wear your poppy in support of Armed Forces families, past and present.

POPPY APPEAL 2026!

Today marks the official launch of Poppy Appeal, and we’re excited to get out there and see everyone while we’re out and about.

We’ll be out collecting at various events, and standing at local supermarkets until 11th November. We also have collection tins at a lot of local businesses across Rainworth, Blidworth and surrounding areas.

We always look forward to chatting with you all and hearing your stories so please stop and say hello if you have the time❤️
