A F T E R N O O N - T E A 🫖☕️🍰🧁

Members from our Rainworth and Kirkby outreach groups came together this week for a social Afternoon Tea! Complete with quiz, raffle and musical entertainment from the wonderful Hillary!

A special thank you to our fantastic volunteers for their continued support, enabling us to enjoy events such as this. A day of smiles all round! 🥰

Cornwater Evergreens supports local older people with friendship, activities, hot meals, laughter and a warm welcome each week. For many of our members, our clubs are one of the few regular chances they have to get out, see friendly faces and feel part of the community.

O U T • A N D • A B O U T 🚌🍽️

Today, with the support of Ravenshead Community Transport our members took a trip to The White Post for lunch! 🍽️

'What a lovely change' one member remarked about the day. 'These buses are a credit to the village (and surrounding areas)'

For one of our members it was the first time she'd been on a bus in years. The accessible service and kind volunteer drivers have given her more confidence to use community transport in the future 🚌

The shining sun plus crafting with friends has put everyone in a happy and relaxed mood 🌞

Another fabulous visit this week from The Mobile Mini Zoo
Sam always brings a variety of different animals & has extensive knowledge about their species and care!

Members loved reminiscing about their childhood pets & having a cuddle with some 4 legged friends!

Our Brunch & Bingo in Rainworth is designed for people aged 55+ who would enjoy a friendly morning out, good food, and a welcoming group.

We understand that trying something new can feel like a big step — so we make sure everyone is looked after and feels comfortable from the moment they arrive.

Our 'Move it or Lose it' friendship club, every Thursday 1.30pm-3.30pm (Kirkby in Ashfield) would benefit greatly with an extra pair of hands to help with light tasks such as making hot drinks for our members, setting up & tidying away.
