We held an Easter party, at the beginning of
April but have been waiting for photos. Here is James delivering Easter Eggs courtesy of Tesco, Doff and GallifordTry, along with a general scene of the party. Our thanks go to these three organizations. Special thanks go to Sam and James who organized the party; to June for all the wonderful games and to Donna who worked non stop face painting. Also to all the other volunteers who made this Easter Party such a huge success.

Congratulations to the chair of our trustees, Elaine Moulton, who has been given an award by The High Sheriff of Nottinghamshire "in recognition of great and valuable services to the community. Back in 2013, it was Elaine's idea to inaugurate the Community Food Bank . She has also been actively involved in the St Johns Outreach Project, which has been renovating the St Johns Church Hall and promoting it as a space for community groups and activities.

A big thank you to Dylan and Family at Swifty Barbers and to the Women's Institute for all the toys they donated. The wrapped toys are from Swifty, who also donated baby clothing. We had too many, in the end, so passed on the donation to Huthwaite All Saints Church, for their free Community Christmas Dinner held on Christmas day.

Following on from previous posts detailing the terrific donations from Bunches and Galliford Try, along with all the other smaller donations, our volunteers Rachel, Carol and Tony have finally sorted out those many bags and boxes, labelling, dating and storing every item. 10 hours of hard work. Thanks for all your determined effort.

During term time, we receive a visit from Pollyteach pupils who give us a hand in the Food Bank. Last week, dressed in full nativity gear, they gave us a great song. Here's a picture of them, (reproduced by their permission).

Our Christmas dinner and children's party on Saturday 6th December was a huge success. Thanks to Sam and James for organizing the event, cooking the food and booking the entertainer. Here is Santa posing with the entertainer, dressed as Mr Tumble.
