A fantastic start to FTW 2026

Thank you to Conference Chair Dr Abu Sadat Sayem CText FTI, Editor of The Textile Institute Professional Publication Series, for setting the tone.

We were inspired by an engaging opening address from Professor Jess Power CText FTI, Chair of TI Council, who highlighted the importance of supporting innovation, explored the global technical textiles market, and shared insights from her own journey in the field - followed by a thought-provoking keynote from Jason Kent, TI VP and CEO of the British Textile Machinery Association, on Think to Innovate.

The Textile Institute is delighted to announce that its Chair of Council, Professor Jess Power CText FTI, will open the Fashion Textile Wearables Technical Programme on Monday, 13 April 2026, at the Fashion Textile Wearables Innovation Congress (13–15 April 2026). Conference Chair Dr Abu Sadat Sayem CText FTI, Editor of The Textile Institute Professional Publication Series, has worked with his team to develop an excellent and engaging programme of presentations and discussions.
