Fantastic meeting with the Pembrokeshire Uke-Ender Team today. We have a plan going forward for 2027.

In order for us to bring this vibrant festival to you all we are looking for sponsorship for such items as Marquee Hire, Chair hire, etc.

The Business will be part of a weekend of music, community and four-stringed joy.

Pembrokeshire Uke-Ender brings together ukulele players and music lovers from across Wales for a weekend of live performances, workshops, open-mic sessions and big group strum-alongs.

As a community-run festival, we rely on the generosity of local businesses and organisations to keep ticket prices affordable, provide a comfortable engaging event and to pay our performers fairly. Sponsoring Pembrokeshire Uke-Ender is a chance for businesses to put themselves in front of an enthusiastic, loyal audience while supporting live music in the community.

Why sponsor us?

Our audience is friendly, local and engaged. They come back year after year, they tell their friends, and they remember the businesses that helped make the festival happen. Your support is visible across the whole event, from our website and social media to banners on stage and mentions from the compère between acts.

Not every partnership has to be financial. We’d love to hear from you if you can offer prizes for raffles, refreshments for volunteers and performers, printing, PA or lighting equipment, accommodation for visiting acts, or anything else that helps the festival run smoothly. In-kind sponsors receive recognition matched to the value of their contribution.

Just under 6 weeks for our big Christmas party. We still have availability for a couple of more groups. If you want your group to perform get in touch or feel free to bring your ukulele for a jam with everyone.

Confirmed are Maesteg Ukulele Club, Kool Hand Ukes - Neath, The Village Strummers, Cardiff Ukulele Dragons, The Celtic Ukulele Collective and Iwcs Y Wenallt.

This Saturday is World Mental Health Day and we all meet mental health challenges daily in our lives. The Ukulele Project aims are to combat loneliness and promote wellbeing using that small instrument. What people don't see is that it can be challenging running a project and sometimes can feel like we are alone. Every Ukulele Project leader supports each other but we all deal with our own regions in different ways.

Your support means the world to all of us wether it is turning up at events, putting money in the pot or donating unwanted ukuleles.

Thank you for that support and if you have not already go and support your local Ukulele Project. Give them a hug next time you see them.

I am not great at posting when things aren’t going right which then isn’t realistic to life but it kind of annoys me the ‘what I did wrong posts’…..something for my therapist to unpack!! 🤣

Anyhoo life is quite challenging at the minute mostly because the cost of living is through the roof and we have a diesel car!

I am not retired, I am a mum, I do not have a village and my husband works away from home (doing a really cool job, I am super proud of him) Add to the that the cost of living crisis. So running the London Ukulele Project voluntarily for the last 8 years is taking its toll on my personal finances. To clarify LUP pays me when I am teaching but there are hours of extra hours outside of teaching. So this summer I submitted a grant application for my own personal development which would have filled a hole AND given me funds to pay for childcare so that I could go to open mics, teach in the evenings etc but I didn’t get it. I was trying to be really brave but a friend reminded me that it is okay to be disappointed and frustrated and to shout expletives!

It led me to a big old rant about the arts not being considered a proper job, feminism, politics honestly the rage!!

So many grant applications don’t let you apply for wages and those where you can apply you have to have had a turnover of over £100,000 so I need you to buy some more merch!! 🤣🤣🤣……..on go big girl pants onto the next grant application.

In seriousness thank you to everyone who supports the Ukulele Projects because it is a joy every day to work with people who might not otherwise have access to this incredible instrument/community
