Please support this local Youth Theatre group which provides a wonderful opportunity for our children to appear on the stage of our Town Hall.

A crowd of supporters, along with family and friends gathered outside Maesteg Celtic Sports and Social Club to welcome home the four cyclists, Neil Davies, Karl Rees, Neil Seaward, and Darryl Davies, and their support team, Anthony and Rhodri Bwye, who had ridden 200 miles from the Menai Bridge in North Wales back to Maesteg to celebrate both bicentenaries.
The cyclists then entered the main hall to a roaring cheer from everyone gathered there, before posing for photographs and being interviewed about their experience.
We would like to thank the businesses who sponsored the ride including Nanty Pharmacy and Siderise.

We were delighted that three of the new Senedd members who represent Maesteg in the newly created Afan Ogwr Rhondda Constituency, Sera Evans, Steve Bayliss and Benjamin Hodge McKenna along with Councillor Elaine Winstanley, the Deputy Mayor of Bridgend County Borough Council were able to join us for the Gala Day at Maesteg Celtic. Hopefully they will join us at other celebratory events in the future.

Everyone was treated to a free afternoon of music on Saturday at Maesteg Celtic, with performances from three different Ukulele Bands, Bridgend Ukelele Club, Celtic Ukulele Collective and our very own Maesteg Ukulele Club, who were joined by our Mayor, who is a member of the group.
The Community Singing Group, Llantastic, performed a varied programme of songs and encouraged members of the audience to join in!

Many thanks to everyone who had a stall or visited our Craft Fayre on Saturday at Maesteg Celtic. There was a wide variety of items on sale demonstrating the amazing skills of our talented residents in the Llynfi Valley.
Aled Williams entertained everyone on his harp , and Cllr. Paul Davies, the Mayor of Maesteg opened the event at 10.00am.
