Leading Luton CIC is recruiting Volunteer Board Members of all ages and backgrounds.

We are looking for passionate, experienced people who care about Luton and want to help us create opportunities for local residents.

We are particularly interested in people with experience in:

• Finance and organisational sustainability
• Governance, compliance and safeguarding
• Education, employability and youth development
• Community engagement, equality and inclusion
• Business, enterprise and partnerships
• Culture, events and place-making
• Health & Wellbeing

Board members will help shape our strategy, oversee governance and finances, support funding and partnerships, manage risk and ensure we remain focused on creating genuine community benefit.

We want practical people who can bring ideas, experience and connections, but who are also willing to get involved and help us turn plans into action.

These are voluntary, unpaid roles. Board meetings will usually take place every two months, with some additional support between meetings when required.

Become a Community Connector for Leading Luton

Are you passionate about your community? Do people trust you, turn to you for advice, or know you through your work, volunteering, faith group, school, neighbourhood, charity, community café, sports club or local network?

**Leading Luton CIC is looking for up to 8 Community Connectors** to help shape an exciting new resident-led project focused on improving community voice, tackling inequalities and ensuring local people help influence future public health research and decision-making in Luton.

What does a Community Connector do?

* Introduce the project to people within your community
* Help recruit local residents to take part in conversations
* Share local insight and lived experiences
* Identify barriers that prevent people from having their voices heard
* Support engagement activities and community conversations

We're looking for people connected to:

✅ Faith groups
✅ Resident associations
✅ Youth organisations
✅ Community groups
✅ Cultural organisations
✅ Support groups
✅ Food banks
✅ Neighbourhood networks
✅ Grassroots charities

No formal qualifications are needed. We are looking for trusted local people with strong community connections and a passion for making a difference.

**Contribution payment available:** £100 per Community Connector.

Together, we can ensure that the voices of people who are often overlooked are heard and represented. This project is about listening, building trust and creating lasting change for Luton.
