Hans is our young saluki lurcher (3yrs) and he is waiting for that special someone to take him home.

Sensitive: Saluki Lurchers bond deeply with their owners but often maintain an air of quiet autonomy. They dislike harsh tones, chaotic environments, or rough handling, preferring gentle, patient training.
Professional Couch Potatoes: Despite their incredible speed and athletic stamina outdoors, they are famous for sleeping large portions of the day indoors, often seeking out the softest spot in the house (like your bed or sofa).
High Prey Drive: Because they have Saluki and sighthound ancestry, their instinct to chase small moving animals (cats, squirrels, rabbits) is very strong, meaning off-leash exercise is only safe in completely secure, enclosed areas.
Selective Recall: They are intelligent, but unlike working herding breeds, they tend to view coming when called as a suggestion rather than a strict rule, especially if something interesting is on the horizon.
Counter-Surfing Scavengers: True to their Saluki roots, many have a knack for stealthily investigating kitchen counters and "rescuing" unattended food.
