That's where Flint comes in. We want to reach all men who purchase s*x and show them that change is possible and that there is so much hope for the future.

Next week Ruth is embarking on an 84 mile hike along Hadrian's Wall to raise vital funds for Azalea. Each day at Azalea we hear stories of violence and darkness, of people going through the most difficult things that you can imagine. Today we want to express our gratitude for Heather Baker and her team from the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Our basement has been an ongoing challenge over the last couple of years. We have had volunteers who have done their utmost to create order and now it will be so much easier! Thank you to this team of generous and thoughtful people who donated these brand new shelving units and gave their time and energy to construct them. Thank you for asking 'how can we help?'.

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation has produced a vital and thought-provoking report, Trigger for Change, exploring how warning messages can help prevent online s*xual abuse.

“In 2024 and 2025, warning messages on online platforms were triggered more than 95,000 times a day by users searching for s*xual images of children. Almost 700,000 people clicked through for help to change their behaviour via Stop It Now.”

Viewing illegal s*xual material is deeply harmful and can contribute to the normalisation and reenactment of abuse offline. Across Reroute, Encompass and Flint, we see the devastating impact this can have on individuals and communities.

We are grateful for the work of the Lucy Faithfull Foundation in providing pathways for people to seek help and change their behaviour. Preventative work like this is essential in reducing harm and protecting vulnerable people before abuse occurs.

Roz has been praying and supporting Azalea for 15+ years. She creates and makes beautiful hand stitched bookmarks for Azalea, and her generosity has even extended to a huge turkey at Christmas for our guests and regular boxes of biscuits. We are so grateful for her generous and kind heart.

We want to partner with schools to empower young people to recognise injustice and become active changemakers in their communities.

At Azalea, we have a range of ideas and opportunities designed to educate, inspire, and encourage students to make a positive difference.

Pictured are three sets of earrings handmade by one of our Flourish guests.

She decided she didn't want to create matching earrings, but rather pairs that “go together” for example the hamburger goes with the box of chips, Mother Mary and baby Jesus, and finally a bar of chocolate and dog poo.

When this lady first began her journey in Flourish, she was evidently artistic and creative. And yet all of her work would be in dark colours, with seemingly dark subject matters. Now this lady embraces bright colours and has explored what brings her joy and what peaks her interests.

This particular guest has been part of the Flourish group for a number of years. Flourish, to her, is a space of freedom where she doesn’t fear rejection, judgment, or losing love and acceptance despite her mental health battles.

We are so thankful for our incredible frozen meal makers. We want to extend an extra thank you to Vicky, Carmel and the team at the nursery who recently responded to our urgent need and made some extra batches to stock up our empty freezers. Our guests heat up and take away these meals at every single drop in, without fail. To have a home cooked, nutritious decent portion of food is vital for survivors of s*xual exploitation. Eating and especially eating well is often not a priority for them. Thank you to this wonderful team.
