The final results of the 2026 Junior Race Series have been published.

Once again, It has been a fantastic season with a good mix of race experience opportunities and some excellent competition. Our thanks, as ever, to the race organisers for making this happen. Well done to all athletes that completed the series and to you, parents, for supporting your young triathletes.

There are trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each category and this will be presented as part of the TESE AGM afternoon on Saturday October 31st at K2, Haslett Avenue West, Crawley and I hope that many of you will join us to celebrate our winners. The AGM and awards afternoon will start at 4 pm.

🥇🥇🥇SOUTH EAST TRISTAR ATHLETES CROWNED INTER-REGIONAL CHAMPIONS 2026🥇🥇🥇

Congratulations to the South East IRC Team competing at the Inter Regional Championships at Mallory Park, Leicestershire last weekend. In a fabulous 2 days of racing, albeit in challenging conditions on the Saturday, the South East came out on top and were crowned IRC Champions 2026.

There were strong performances throughout the team including 2 podium places:

Rafi Weeks (Thames Turbo) 1st TS3 Open, Zara Lett (Medway Tri) 2nd TS2 Girls and top ten places in TS3 Open for William Guy (Team Bodyworks) 5th, Jago Dinnage (Weald Tri Club) 6th and Cameron Frow (MedwayTri) 10th, in TS3 Female for Flavia Hitchings (MedwayTri) 5th, Sophie Keeble 9th and in TS2 Open for Nathaniel Jolly (Chichester Tri Club) 5th.

It was this depth of talent and the performances of each and every team member including reserves, that led to the South East taking the win.

The performance of the South East team was the result of lots of hard work over the season. The athletes were adaptable, skilful, organised, well prepared and were an absolute credit to their club coaches.

Above all, it was a genuine team effort, supported behind the scenes by parents, coaches, clubs and supporters.

Special thanks go to Coach Claire Hitchings, who, together with me, Liz Scott, has delivered Easter, spring half-term and summer holiday training camps for many of these young triathletes over the past three years.

Thanks also to the coaches who helped prepare the team at the IRC Skills School session earlier in August: Claire, Steve and Jackie Hunter of Ocean Lake Tri Club, and Matt Jolly of Chichester Tri Club.

Brilliant racing—well done to every South East athlete!

Our team of 20 young triathletes beat 12 other regions to win the title yesterday at Mallory Park.

🚨 VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED – BRIGHTON & HOVE TRIATHLON 🚨

We urgently need more volunteers to help us make the Brighton & Hove Triathlon on Sunday 6th September a success.

Can you help?

Quite simply, the event couldn’t happen without our incredible volunteers. From welcoming athletes at registration and helping around transition, to directing competitors on the course and handing out drinks at aid stations, our volunteer team plays a vital role in keeping everyone safe and making race day run smoothly.

Being part of the TriBourne team is great fun and incredibly rewarding. You’ll be right in the heart of the action, helping thousands of athletes achieve their goals and enjoying the atmosphere of one of the biggest triathlon events on the south coast.

All volunteers receive a hot meal, hot drinks, TriBourne T-shirt and TriBourne water bottle, plus £25 TriBourne credit for every four-hour shift you volunteer. Your credit can be used towards entry to any TriBourne event in 2027.
