A lively WI created in May 2013 who meet on the first Tuesday of each month, 7.30pm for 7.45pm, at The Elms, Trent College. Visitors and new members welcome!

Our latest craft workshop was the art of kinusaiga. Thanks to the wonderful LEAMAC ladies we had a great evening.

Our September meeting was led by the marvellous Richard Arter and his steel drums. We listened, we played, we clapped and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Can heartily recommend Richard as a speaker at your WI. 🛢️🛢️😊

Long Eaton WI welcomed Agnes Peterson (aka Elaine Perkins) to speak about medieval uses of herbs at our July meeting. Agnes is a cunning woman who uses herbs to prevent illnesses and misfortunes unlike herbalists whose aim is to cure disease and very unlike witches whose aim is to harm.

Long Eaton WI’s Craft Fayre and Coffee Morning raised over £450 for the 2 charities we are supporting this year. They are Aspire House and Bundles of Hope. Well done to all those who came to help, baked, donated and bought raffle and tombola tickets.
