Huge £1,550 Donation of Equipment to Long Eaton Youth Club.

XRT Long Eaton recently donated several items of equipment worth £1,550 to the Long Eaton Youth Club, run by local councillor Owen Ferron and his fantastic team, The Youth club has FREE entry and is open on a Monday night in term time located opposite Sportsman Pub behind Community House, open 6pm to 8pm ages 11/16.
Members of the XRT Round Table visited the club to deliver and install the items which included PS5 with several new games, 6ft Pool table, 6ft Air Hockey table, Football table, they went along later the see the new items in use with a huge turn out of over 30 kids attending who all welcomes the new items.
Club Chairman Steve Sargent said 'We believe the youth club is a real asset to Long Eaton and hope to continue supporting the club for many years to come'.
Owen Ferron said 'We are very grateful for the new equipment which should last the robust usage, we are self funded and still need donations from public'.

£2,000 to 1st Sawley Scouts to Purchase Land and Build new State of the Art Community Centre

XRT Long Eaton (Formally know as Long Eaton Round Table) have donated £2,000 towards the new 1st Sawley Scout land purchase and building a new Scout hut and Community Centre.
This project will create a space where young people can learn new skills, make friends, and where the wider community can come together. It’s an investment in the future of our town and the next generation.
Steve Sargent Chairman of XRT said ‘We’re proud to play a small part in helping make this vision a reality and we wish the Scout group every success as the project moves forward’.
Philip Jackson leader of 1st Sawley Scout Group said ‘We are currently in negotiation with the council to purchase the land, and we are looking for funds to make this vision a reality, we have now marked out the foundations and poured the concreate, solid foundations for a new Scout hut and community centre which will see us into the next century, we still need more support and donations which can be made here: https://gofund.me/3671f7be1 we thank you all for any amount possible’.

👋 We’re looking for new faces to join the XRT Round Table (41 Club) 👋
We’re a local group of lads who get together for lads’ nights every other Tuesday, put on events like the Santa Slay Run every Christmas, and support charity work throughout the year.
There’s no pressure and no strict rules — you don’t have to make every event — but it’s always good to show willing, get involved when you can, and enjoy a laugh along the way.
If you’re up for good banter, great company, giving something back, and being part of a sound group of people, we’d love to hear from you.
