XRT £1,237.26 8th Birthday Donation to HOPE Project.
XRT Long Eaton (Formaly known as ‘Long Eaton Round Table’) have just donated £1,237.26 to HOPE Long Eaton who run community projects such as the Petersham Breakfast Café, Manna Foodbox Service, & Cycle Refurbishment.

Alan Colley , past Chairman XRT (pictured second to left) says ‘We are delighted to be supporting this very worthwhile project which will enable people who may be struggling right now giving them a central point to come together and meet and support each other at the Petersham Breakfast Café, they can also receive support with looking for work and updating a CV, Citizens advice and general support, we believe this is a very worthwhile community project, the fund donated have come directly from the December Christmas Collection which volunteers from HOPE assisted in the collection around Petersham Estate and town centre, local funds going directly into the same community where they are needed.
Carl McCarthy, Project Director of Hope Long Eaton (pictured left) says ‘Thank you so much for your kind donation of £1,237.26 The money will help us continue our community projects such as the Petersham Breakfast cafe, manna food box scheme, Youth Project, & cycle refurbishment project and also look at new opportunities to help people who are struggling. We are currently looking at new ways of helping people in other areas so we can increase our reach into the Long Eaton community’ its also our 8th Birthday running these projects.
Steve Sargent, current XRT Chairman says ‘We are delighted to be able to support local clubs and the community, we are also looking for other ways we can further help serve local residents and we welcome any requests for projects in our community’.
