It is festival season again and even the mixed weather this summer will not put off many teenagers excited to experience their first festival, including Derbyshire's own Y Not festival this weekend.

As a parent or carer, it can be nerve-wracking when your young person goes to their first festival, and it is natural to worry about the temptation of experimentation with drugs or alcohol when they are there. This guide from Frank has some great suggestions and advice that you can discuss with your young person to help them make safer choices.

Precious memories are built on those walks....
This week is a big step for many children and young people. Transitions. Primary to Secondary. Infants to Juniors . Nursery to reception. Yes they are natural steps but as parents you can feel overwhelmed and sad. Be gentle to yourself and your precious children and young people. Transitions mean progress but they can still be hard 🥰

It is normal for babies to cry, crying is something that all babies do, and it is the way that they communicate their needs to you as their parent or carer. On average, babies cry for around 2-3 hours per day in their first few months, which is more than at any other point in their lives.

It's important to know that it's ok and it's normal if your baby cries sometimes. If you are finding it hard to cope, ensure that your baby is in a safe position and take a few moments away to catch your breath and keep calm.

We have lots of support and information on this and other topics on our website - follow the link below to read more:
