💜 With grateful hearts we mark the end of 2025/26 with the Assumption Volunteers in the UK as we say thank you and God bless! You'll be missed 🫶🏽

🙏🏽 This weekend we gathered for a final reflection day, a farewell Mass on the Feast of the Assumption, and a celebration together.

💫 It was a chance to look back on a year of service, community, friendship and growth.

😎 Thank you for your kindness, generosity, joy and patience. All the care and love for the children you supported, and for the mission you carried.

😇 Like Mary, you said yes — and it made a difference!

Today, AMA volunteer Kitty Enright completes her year of service. We are deeply grateful for her dedication to the children of Middlesbrough and Newcastle.

Throughout the year, Kitty faced challenges with steadfast faith, courage, and perseverance. We admire her commitment and the compassionate way she shared her life with so many children.

While it will be difficult to say goodbye to her AMA friends, staff, and the many children whose lives she touched, we know they will remain in her heart forever.

God bless you, Kitty, as you begin this new chapter of your life’s journey. You go with our love, gratitude, and prayers. 🙏❤️

Happy Summer!! ☀️ AV’s have kicked off the summer holiday at Walker Outdoor Week! We had loads of activities for the kids to enjoy. It was so much fun being outside with the community.

Over the weekend, we took part in an African Mass, where we enjoyed a joyful celebration filled with music and dancing 🎶💃🏽🕺🏽 We got to sing “Happy Birthday” to everyone celebrating a birthday in June, including Guille, Assumption Volunteer! 🎉🎂

Afterwards, we shared a meal with the community and danced the evening away 🍽️❤️

We are grateful to Fr. Jude and the rest of the community for inviting us and welcoming us with such love and joy🫶🏽 We hope we were able to share that same spirit with all those we encounter and can visit one last time before we leave🙏✨

Over the weekend, the Assumption Volunteers enjoyed a visit to St Cuthbert’s Cave, taking in the peaceful surroundings and walking through the beautiful Northumberland landscape. It was a great opportunity for reflection, connection, and time together in nature.

Welcome to the Assumption Volunteer team!

We are so happy to welcome Nerea 🇪🇸 for the summer as reinforcement to the team! 🌟

Nerea is joining us all the way from Madrid, bringing with her a wealth of experience working with children — from her studies in early childhood education to years of leadership with the Scouts and volunteering in her local community.

This summer she will be based in Middlesbrough with Kids Kabin, where she will be getting stuck into activities, forming real connections with the young people there, and growing through everything this experience has to offer.

Nerea, we can't wait to have you with us. ¡Bienvenida! 💛
