Arch2Arctic

Arch2Arctic Follow Rob and Poldy in the lead up and during their expedition. They aim to raise over £100,000 fo Our goal is to raise over £100,000 for The Scout Association.

A world first expedition of extreme endurance and perseverance. The mission is to reach Svalbard, an island deep in the Arctic, from London, by human power alone. We (Rob and Poldy) have spent two years planning this expedition. Our route is broken down into four stages; a run from London to Dover (87 miles), a swim across the English Channel (21 miles), a cycle from Calais to Tromso, in Northern

Norway (over 2,000 miles) and finally a row to Longyearbyen, Svalbard (over 700 miles). It will start on the 15th June, 2018, and we aim to reach our destination by the end of August. This global charity gets young people outdoors and teaches them invaluable life lessons. In our opinion, the positive effects that the Scouts have on the younger generations and future society are hugely underestimated. By welcoming anyone without discrimination we believe it can help integrate groups and bind communities together. We think this is hugely important for the next generation of Britain. We hope with our challenge by representing the Scouts we will also inspire young people to dream big.
