Want to make straighter, more accurate cuts? Try using your saw as a mirror.

Watch the reflection of your work in the blade. If your cut moves out of square, the reflection makes the movement much easier to spot. Aim for the piece to look like it continues in a straight line through the blade.

It’s a simple trick that helps you correct your technique as you cut and build the muscle memory for more accurate sawing.
