Rigveda 7.59.12 is the Maha Mrityunjaya (Tryambakam) mantra, a Vedic prayer to Ishwar, the One Supreme, asking for health, nourishment and release from the bo***ge of death while remaining in immortality. In Arya Samaj, this mantra is valued as a Vedic hymn for healing and fearlessness and is often chanted in havans and personal japa, consistent with the movement’s emphasis on using the Vedas for physical, mental and spiritual well-being rather than ritualistic superstition

Yajurveda 40:15 This passage highlights the contrasting nature of the physical body and the eternal self, reminding us that while our material form is temporary, our essence remains untouched by death. As the physical elements return to nature at life's end, the conscious soul continues its journey beyond the physical realm.

In Arya Samaj practice, the Maha Mrityunjaya mantra is valued as a Vedic prayer for health, strength and freedom from fear, often chanted in havans and personal japa for healing and long life. Its relevance lies in the Vedic ideal that life is sacred and should be lived with vitality and courage, so the mantra is used to support physical and mental well-being while remembering that ultimate liberation comes from truth and righteous living

Arya Samaj teaches respect for water as part of Vedic dharma, seeing it as a sacred gift that sustains all life and must be kept pure, conserved and used with gratitude. In practice this shows up in simple habits—filtering and not wasting drinking water, protecting wells and rivers from pollution, and supporting community efforts like rainwater harvesting and the care of traditional ponds and stepwells.

In Arya Samaj, the Annaprashan ceremony is the Vedic sanskar that marks a baby’s first intake of solid food, usually around six months, and is performed with a simple puja and havan to bless the child’s health, digestion and future nourishment. The first morsel (often kheer or cooked rice) is offered to the divine and then fed to the child, symbolising that food is sacred and should always be pure, moderate and shared in a spirit of gratitude and responsibility
