A lasting act of kindness

Doll, one of our beloved knitting group members, knitted many wonderful dolls which were sold to raise money for The Mill. She continued to share her love for this space by including The Mill in her will. In her memory and to share her story, you’ll find one of her popular dolls on display at The Mill.
The Mill has touched the hearts of many, and we’ve seen incredible acts of kindness over the years. Together, we make this place special and feel so grateful that people would think to donate to The Mill in this way. A gift in your will is a lasting act of kindness that helps protect and grow everything the community values about this place, ensuring its impact continues for years to come.

Help The Mill remain a place of welcome, connection and community for future generations. Find out more: https://themille17.org/get-involved/leave-a-gift-in-your-will/

Tai Chi for Wellbeing with Sheryl
Tuesday, 21 July, 12:30pm - 1:30pm.

Finding it hard to meditate in complete stillness? Try Tai Chi for an integrated way to wellbeing!

Join us for this relaxing and grounding workshop. We will be focusing on the health and wellbeing benefits of Tai Chi and learn an accessible, gentle form of ancient Chinese wellbeing art, which combines slow, deep breathing, mindful movement and visualisation for a holistic wellbeing experience.

Tai Chi is highly adaptable to all levels. Beginners are welcomed to this class but more experienced learners can easily adapt their level of challenge to get the most out of the exercises, which can also be adapted to be performed seated.

A passionate advocate for health and wellbeing, Sheryl began her Tai Chi journey in 2008 under the personal tutelage of her mother, a Tai Chi teacher since 1995. Sheryl’s approach focuses on the enjoyment of mindful movements within the context of Tai Chi Qigong as a moving meditation. Also a Traditional Chinese Works of Art translation specialist, Sheryl enjoys promoting Tai Chi as a mindful movement discipline and a unique part of traditional Chinese culture.

Testimonials:
“Sheryl is a really good teacher. She genuinely cares about her learners and it really comes across during the class.”
