This weekend is Family Day: Love is Enough at Vestry House Museum 💚

While renovation work is underway at William Morris Gallery, the Family Day event for Waltham Forest Pride will be held at Vestry House Museum (ahead of Vestry's official re-opening later in 2026).

Step into a world of imagination with interactive storyteller Luke Saydon, exploring the powerful message that 'love is enough'. Inspired by William Morris’s poem and his love of nature and design, families are invited to discover what it means to be true to yourself. After the storytelling, children will create self-portraits as part of a collaborative artwork to celebrate the theme of the day.

👉 Saturday 11 July, 12.30 to 3.30pm
👉 Sessions at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm (booking is essential)
👉 FREE
👉 Where? Vestry House Museum (entrance on Church Path, E17 9NH)

Activities suitable for ages five to 12. We welcome all LGBTQIA+ families, friends, and allies.

We were delighted to have a stall at Fair today. It was great to meet members and potential members! We were also selling locally grown lavender and our ever popular mugs! All this will go back into making Walthamstow Village and even better place to live, work in or visit!

Village Gardening Day
Saturday 4 July, 10.30 am - 12pm
at the Village Square, Orford Road

Tomorrow we'll be tidying and w**ding the Village Square and clearing up the ivy cut from the wall till about 11 am. We'll then go on to w**d and tidy the gateway planters at the junctions of Beulah and Grove Roads, Eden and Grove Roads and Beulah and Grosvenor Rise East.

Whatever your gardening ability, do join us for some seasonal gardening! Please bring hand tools, loppers and a yard broom if you have them.
