From making national headlines by calling on the co-owner of GB News to clarify his financial interests in fossil fuels to winning a national award for helping to make billions of pounds of assets off-limits to fossil fuels, Operation Noah is a small charity that makes a big impact. Your generous monthly donation will help us to continue to inspire the Church to take action on the climate crisis and may allow us to even *increase* our impact. Will you help us inspire the Church to be part of ending the fossil fuel era and to supercharge green investment? DONATE: https://www.operationnoah.org/get-involved/donate/

With more stories of devastating wildfires and record-breaking heat, it's clear that we need to end the fossil fuel era now while scaling up investment in climate solutions. And with billions of pounds of investments held by UK Churches and faith groups, it's time to put our faith into action and fund a greener future.

Join us on Monday 7 September, 9.30am-2pm, at Friends House in London for the next stop on our Green Investment Roadshow as Church leaders, Church finance decision-makers and everyday Christians gather to discuss how we can supercharge green investment.

We'll be joined by a team of experts, and your ticket will include lunch, tea, coffee and other refreshments. Reserve your place here: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/operationnoah/2186577

July 2026 was the driest month in southern England since records began nearly 200 years ago. The Met Office said the 'remarkable conditions' came amid a summer marked by multiple heat records – heatwaves which have been made more intense and more likely by the fossil fuel-driven climate crisis.

England and Wales provisionally record driest July in nearly 200 years, Met Office says

We were disappointed that the General Synod motion calling for 30% of Church land to be protected for nature by 2030 was so heavily amended that it missed the chance to adopt an ambitious, area-based target. This action asks Archbishop Sarah to take up this cause.

On Tuesday 14 July, the General Synod missed a chance to lead on nature. A motion to protect 30% of the Church Commissioners’ 103,000 acres by 2030 was weakened by an amendment backed by the Bishops. While it includes some positive, but vague, aims, it fails to set measurable, area-based targets f...

Today we handed in an open letter to Prime Minster Andy Burnham, signed by over 60 Catholic leaders and organisations calling on him to say no to the Rosebank oil field.

In the letter, leaders write, "Choosing not to approve Rosebank would demonstrate that the United Kingdom is prepared to match its climate commitments with practical action. It would be a decision that reflects both scientific evidence and our shared moral responsibility to care for our common home and to protect those who are most vulnerable to the impacts of climate change".
