A Star Visit to Remember ⭐

We were delighted to welcome to our COPS session at Station Road last week.

From answering football questions to sharing his journey, Shayden brought huge smiles, excitement, and inspiration to everyone in the room. Moments like these remind us how powerful connection and community can be.

A big thank you to Shayden for making the day so special! 🙌⚽

A busy Sunday out in the community for the residents of Lincoln Road, performing in a local church play, getting creative, catching up with friends and finishing the day with a trip to the garden centre ✨

Outdoor experiences like these help build confidence, independence, and connection for the community we are supporting here in Equality Housing Supported Living❤️

So proud to be nominated for Charity of the Year at the Barnet Group Community Awards 2025 💜

The real win was seeing our SoundHub performers take the stage and show what inclusion really looks like.

Thank you to the Barnet Group and all the brilliant organisations we met. Community, connection, and impact all in one night ✨

Most of all, we are grateful for the 23 nominations submitted by our community members. To be thought of, supported and championed by the people we exist for is already the greatest award we could receive.

January may have arrived… but we’re still thinking about this one.

Christmas isn’t always about the date on the calendar.
For some of the people we support, it’s about feeling included, welcomed, and not alone.

Back in December, we shared a Christmas lunch with individuals in our Equality Housing services who don’t have family around them. There was laughter, conversation, full plates, and something just as important, a sense of belonging.

These moments matter, always 😍

Ever wondered what an Annual General Meeting actually is?

We broke it down Barnet Mencap style, friendly faces, real voices, and a sneak peek into the heart of what we do. And Annual General Meetings don’t have to be boring… especially when our very own Sound Hub performed this year.

A huge thank you to the past Mayor of Barnet Cllr Alison Moore, our representatives, , and of course, our Barnet Mencap members for joining us and supporting our work.

Want a seat at the table next year? Grab your membership: £15 a year (or £5 if unwaged!), and you’re in.
See you next year! 🫶

[Alt text: A video reel starts with the question ‘What is an Annual General Meeting?’ Two Barnet Mencap staff members explain what an AGM is, followed by clips of the meeting, including attendees talking, presenting, and engaging. The past Mayor of Barnet and representatives from Barnet Council are shown attending. The video concludes with information about becoming a Barnet Mencap member (£15 per year or £5 for unwaged individuals) to join next year’s meeting, and the text ‘Hope to see you next year.’ Upbeat music plays in the background.]

Good food tastes even better when it’s shared 🍽️✨

Laughter over new cuisines, and conversations flowing across the table — that’s what Eat Outs with COPS is all about for neurodivergent individuals in Barnet.

At , every dish brought us closer, and every moment reminded us that friendship is the best part of any menu.

Thinking food coma? Think COPS.
