Nevaeh's super special Moana wish 🌺

If there's one thing 8-year-old Nevaeh loves, it's Moana - so for her wish we gave her the ultimate fan experience.

Nevaeh was invited to a special screening of the latest Moana film, and her family also got to experience a special Moana themed afternoon tea at The Hilton Park Lane beforehand too!

Nehaeh lives with several complex health conditions which can make her life harder, but her wish was a chance for her to be surrounded by the stories, music and character she loves 💛

Isaac's unforgettable Spiderman wish 🕸️

For his wish, we organised for 13-year-old Isaac and his family to walk the special "white carpet” at the world premiere of Spider-Man: Brand New Day!

Isaac couldn't believe his luck, seeing all the stars of the film and even getting a hug and an autograph from Zendaya, before becoming one of the first people in the world to see the new film 🕷️

After having a kidney transplant at a young age, Isaac still has to spend a lot of time in hospital. But his wish was a way for him to make exciting new memories outside of hospital, with his whole family!

Every young person deserves to experience a prom night to remember! ✨

That's why we brought our Wish Community together for our very first Rays of Sunshine Prom 💛

From the red carpet and photobooth to karaoke, a silent disco and plenty of delicious food, it was an evening full of laughter, dancing and unforgettable memories 🪩

Our Wish Community is all about giving young people living with serious illnesses the chance to connect, have fun and experience the moments they might otherwise miss out on.

A huge thank you to our partners at ICAP Charity Day for making this special night possible through their continued support of our work 💛

The ultimate wish for a young chef – meeting Gordon Ramsey! 👨‍🍳

16-year-old William dreams of earning a Michelin Star and working with Gordon Ramsay - and his wish brought him one step closer.

At the opening of Hell's Kitchen at The Cumberland Hotel London, William met Gordon, chatted about food and shared the cookbook he wrote himself. Gordon was impressed by his creativity, passion and ambition.

Born with a heart condition, William has spent much of his life in hospital, but his love of cooking has never faded.

Thank you to long-standing Rays of Sunshine supporter Gordon Ramsay for helping make his dream feel closer 💛

Imagine being a teenager and missing your school prom because of illness 💔

This is the reality for so many of our Wish Community, missing parties and big moments - that's why we put on our first-ever Rays of Sunshine prom end of term party.

We welcomed guests to the luxurious The Hurlingham Club, where we had a silent disco, a red carpet, a photobooth, karaoke, yummy food and so much more 🪩

Our Wish Community is dedicated to bringing young people living with serious illnesses together and giving them experiences they might otherwise miss out on. The smiles on their faces say it all 💛

We're incredibly grateful to our partners at ICAP Charity Day for funding this event as part of their ongoing support for our work, and our suppliers who helped make the day so special, including The Silent Disco Company, SingPods, Magical Designs, Daniel Lay Event Services, EventWell, Auto Vivendi Supercar Club, The PhotoBooth Guys, Marvin's Magic, Every Wish Entertainment, Calvin Hanks, Balloon Decor, The Wild Tribe, Nails by Mets and Nails by Purple Reina and more.

Macie grills Gordon Ramsay! 👨‍🍳

16-year-old Macie arrived at her wish to meet Gordon Ramsay with plenty of questions!

After going through so much at such a young age, including losing her sight because of a brain tumour, we're so glad Macie was able to throw herself into her wish with one of her heroes.

We're so grateful to Gordon and his team for making the time to make her feel so special 💛

Macie's wish to meet Gordon Ramsay 🍽️

16-year-old Macie is a huge Gordon Ramsay fan, and she and her family never miss one of his shows. For her wish, we arranged for her to meet Gordon at the grand opening of the brand-new Hell's Kitchen at the The Cumberland Hotel London!

The pair chatted for ages about cooking, his career, and Christina Ha, the blind chef who won Gordon's MasterChef US competition. Macie, who lost her sight because of a brain tumour, was so inspired.

Macie's wish was a chance to put her illness to one side, spend time with one of her biggest heroes, and create happy memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to long-standing Rays of Sunshine supporter Gordon Ramsay for taking the time to make Macie feel so special, and to everyone who helped make this incredible wish come true 💛

Knock-knock! Who’s there? Our Wish Community! 🚪

We recently hosted a comedy workshop for our Wish Community, in partnership with Comedy Club 4 Kids.

They got to write jokes and hone skills with help from comedic experts, and even perform on stage in front of an audience! We had to ask them – what's your favourite joke?🌞

Our Wish Community Events like this are designed to connect young people living with serious illness, boost confidence and empower them to try new things - and this comedy workshop was the perfect mix of all three.
