This , we’re proud to spotlight Chris, one of our long‑standing and deeply valued volunteers 💡
After retiring from a career in education, Chris chose to give her time to Jigsaw4u, bringing compassion during a challenging period in her own life, regaining a sense of purpose by making a lasting difference to others.
Through our Helping Hands service, she has supported vulnerable adults and families affected by domestic abuse, as well as parents experiencing child‑to‑parent abuse as part of our Who’s In Charge? Service funded by players through The National Lottery Community Fund. Her focus is always the same, helping those we support to feel heard, giving them the tools to rebuild their confidence by reducing feelings of stigma and isolation.
Last month, Chris went the extra mile (literally!) by completing the full 26km SW London Bridge Walk from Kingston station to Wandsworth Park 👏
Chris reminds us that volunteering goes both ways, describing her experience as incredibly rewarding and full of connection and friendship. She hopes that she can encourage others to volunteer with us, helping our children, young people and families to put the pieces back together 🧩
We are so grateful for Chris’ commitment, compassion and dedication. You’re a true Jigsaw4u Superstar ⭐
